I also remember when they lost a few bricks off the top level behind the pressbox and thought it was on the verge of "falling apart" (this was in the 90's) The decided to take 6' of brick off behind the press box and replace it with a chain link fence. Then they found out the old girl was a little tougher than they thought - they has a HELL of a time knocking down that 6'. They finally did it but it ended all thoughts that Memorial was "falling apart". She had a good run for sure!

This would be extremely stupid since GF gets heavy HEAVY federal subsidies to run a bus service. It costs local taxpayers next to nothing and provides a vital service for poor people who have few other options to get around the city. They can't afford an taxi or an uber - aholes like you would say "they should walk - they're already fat from eating junk food they bought with food stamps". That is wrong. Want to see? Go downtown and get on a bus and ride around for awhile....anytime....yes sometimes there aren't many riders but many times you'll be surprised at the number, nature, and reasons people in our community need a public bus service. Cutting the city bus won't save local taxpayers DICK but will cost us more than you know. Look into it Mr Perfect!
