No touches for SS yet?
-
Jerry will never get any snaps if our D can't stop anybody

This is a good preview of a offense that is similar to NDSU with their QB. Hopefully we'll figure a few things out.

I love our stable of RB's....and we haven't even seen Seidl yet.

I just finished listening to the last 15 minutes of 360 right before the game......we're saying how they wouldn't be able to run on us.
Wow need to get this figured out, especially with SU coming up next week.

Brady O and Santiago were two of my favorite UND RB's to watch. Would have been amazing to watch them on this offense. Although our current RB's are very good and fun to watch. But Brady O and Santiago are in my top 7 all time favorite UND RB'S to watch

I want to see backups playing early in the second half.
That would be nice. But probably about a 5% chance a backup QB gets in prior to the 4th quarter all year....Bubba doesn't put the back up in until way past when the game is out of reach either way. Very likely Jerry will not take a snap the entire year with more than 8 minutes left on the clock.

Yeah could go either way. UND played like crap versus Drake in 2015 after beating Wyoming and then proceeded to still play like the crap the following week versus NDSU. I guess I’m in the camp that playing well and winning by a lot - regardless the opponent - is the most contagious, confidence-building formula there is. With all that said, beating the top dogs (NDSU, SDSU, etc.) anyway you can is fine - just win, baby. However, not sure limping to a victory versus non-scholarship teams (San Diego) or conference bottom-dwellers (Murray State) is a great confidence booster …
Think you totally missed the point of his post. His post wasn't saying it's ok if we play like crap this week and come away with a narrow win.
He was pointing out that many might think we could keep the offense vanilla on Saturday and should still be able to still easily beat this team. But Different perspective which he was pointing out is, show all kinds of stuff you don't intend on using to make them prep for BS formations and plays. Had nothing to do with we should be ok with playing like crap this week and narrowly winning. We absolutely need to play well this week, 4 quarter game and go in with some confidence the following week.

Pump up the Stats, pump'm up while Kevin's feet are stomping and the stats are pumping.
But he likely will never be able to run an offense in college by the time he's a red shirt junior, hard pass.

Fruend left us bare in the qb room
We were all pretty excited when we got Feeney, and even more excited when we got Jerry. I'm not convinced yet that either of them were busts....nor can't be good D1 QB's, particularly Jerry.

No, he didn't, but others have said it a few times.

Here are his stats for the year. 55% completion percentage and 5 INT's with 4TD's in 5 games.
Yet we can't question whether or not the Wisconsin player of the year with all of the measurable and a PWO from Wisconsin, son of a coach might not give us a better chance to win?
I was, have, and will root for Romfo to do well. But if you look at the stats and watch the games.....it hasn't been good. Yes we won the last 3 games, that doesn't mean we couldn't have won them with Jerry starting.
Im sure Jerry could run the RPO and hand off 95% of the time. I don't like to knock a kid, especially from ND, but so far appears to be the poorest passing QB that UND has had in 40 years. Not sure how you could even dispute that so far....but hey let's roll with him because our team is to fragile to handle us making a change at QB. Did every other UND QB that didn't start until they were a junior or senior get to use the excuse......"they haven't played in a real game in 4 years". I don't remember that excuse ever being made in the past, usually it made us feel good that a new starting QB was an upper classmen and has been in the system.
I will be rooting for Romfo and his passing to improve, because unless he gets injured he is obviously not leaving the field. For the most part I backed and stood up for Tommy because there were definitely a few Tommy haters, and while Tommy had a few limitations he was pretty damn good.

If there is no separation, usually better if it's under thrown...almost always get a flag when receiver comes back for the ball

My god this is pathetic and hard to watch. Bubba will stick with him though....we will lose the game. Press conference after......."we need to be better"
-
I felt a little like we've been smoke and mirrors on offense so far this year. Eventually the smoke clears.

Passing: 2-5 for 11 yards. That is beyond pathetic.
I don't want to hear about it's only his 3rd or 4th start. Didn't Klancher and Klostermen start as reshman? Heck when Tommy came in off the bench as a true freshman when running scout team in practice and came in against Sam Houston and looked way better than Romfo.
Romfo is a small town ND kid. If he was out of state kid, nobody would think his performance was acceptable and be making all kinds of excuses.

Green tops with black pants, what do we think?
Makes me think of Jimmy 'Fylingsaucer' out running the NDSU DB's in the Fargodome as he had black pants on, although woulda been white tops since on the road. Probably just reminds me of that era as I think they work the black pants a lot in the mid to late 90's.
I'm ok with that combo, but I'd still like to see the Green helmet, green jersey, white pants at some point.

I'm going to say it.....if we had Cam Miller at QB we'd be Title contenders....deep playoff run contenders at a minimum.
