Trey maybe isn't quite as good of a runner as Romfo, but has to be a better passer? This was my fear, decision to name Romfo starter may have been a huge mistake since Feeney left. Long ways to go in thr season, but Romfo doesn't look like he's gonna lead a team down the field on a drive with his arm if needed.

I doubt Romfo makes that throw that Pecht just made over thr middle

Any QB on the roster should have completed that pass.

Romfo can’t throw
That was horrible, wide open TD. Can't miss that.

Disagree. Only reason score is down is because of UND’s time of possession and the offense. The defense has been awful in the secondary. Iowa state passing for big gains at will.
Have looked pretty decent against the run. And nice to see us stuff them up the middle on first and goal when they had their jumbo package in.
Yep secondary has some work to do.

Give Jerry the 4th quarter
I'd be OK with that, especially if they score here. It won't happen though

We are playing 10 yards off their outside receivers.

Turnover would be nice!

Apparently the sweep is not in thr playback anymore

For the 7th year in a row we heard how deep and good our wrs are. For the 7th year in a row they can’t get open again any decent defenses. When will they recruit speed?
Tai should maybe be in more?

Yeah that is now 3 stops on 3rd and long, nice to see.
-
Nice stop D......now pound it offense!
Maybe Seidl with a long run would be nice.....we need a big play!
-
I do think Romfo may be playing conservative and not want to make a mistake on a longer pass though, so he is pulling it back down. Frustrating, but better than an interception

Could it be there’s no one open downfield?
And if that is the case, that is a problem.

Offensive schemes look similar to Danny's. 5 yards per pass attempt. I've seen this movie before.....
NDSU and SDSU will figure this out and test us to make a pass over 10 yards. OL looking good though. Definitely reason for optimism there.

I loved our offense there and taking what you can get. However at some point you have to be able to complete a pass more than 10 yards down field.
How is it that they had a WR wide open down the middle in the red zone without a defender within 5 yards. We can't get that the entire game anywhere on the field when we are on offense.

Ok, other than that long pass we hsve looked better than them.

You said in your previous post, yes the QB can't throw. If our starting QB can't throw.....God help us that he beat out the other guys. Yeah I realize the QB has to do other things, but throwing is pretty damn important.
We'll see how he looks next week at home against an FCS team.
