With the exception of the DOT line, all other lines (for the most part) on our team have sucked the entire year. Can't imagine where our scoring will come from when the DOT is disasembled next season.

We simply need to finish in the top 5 of the league and win the first round of the WCHA playoffs to get in. Taking 3-4 points from Denver would be huge since it is the only meeting we will have. Splitting with SCSU will give us the tiebreaker with them too. At a minimum, we have to split the next 2 series or we're in trouble. We also need to score more than 3 goals against a bottom dweller like UMD. I'm a little concerned that the MSU collapse in the 3rd period is having a lasting effect on this team. Unfortunately, I think we have a very good chance of finishing 6th in the league which would kill our chances for the NCAAs.

Duncan needs more goals (including PP goals) to have any prayer. A couple hattricks against Denver and SCSU would solidify his chances. I think his biggest hurdle is the fact he is a So. When Duncs is a Sr and surpasses the century mark in career goals, he'll be the Hobey.

Sorry, let me clarify. When was the last season where we didn't acheive a sweep at home of a WCHA opponent besides this year? My guess is that it hasn't happened in quite a long time.

David Brown is the top goalie in the nation this year statistically speaking and ND can score goals. You don't want to over look this team. Yes they lost to RMU but the backup was in net for that game. Have we seen any NCAA games in the last few years where goalies beat teams that should have won? No team should take the Irish lightly.

Question for this astute panel of experts. If UND and Denver tie for third and assuming they split their upcoming series, what would the tiebreaker be?

the NHL isn't a "muck-it-out" style game. I predict a short and mediocre at best AHL career for Porter but with a national championship to reflect upon later in life.

if our defense played better this year (like we expected them to), we wouldn't be having this discussion.
