Excellent point. With all the leaders we have on this team, what a great problem to have. I'll be perfectly happy with any C or A selections that are made. Hard to go wrong with any of these guys.
-
Agreed. After we win #8, a Mount Rushmore like statue of the 4 in the "pact" should be constructed for display in the REA.
-
sorry, let me clarify..."Personally I hope he comes back but one nerve-damaging check from Finley or VV and he could be the next Hagemo. Could be a gamble to return"

-
Seems the only team he can't beat is Boston College.
-
What do you know about these players? Where are they from in particular? Thanks
-
That is as likely as Toews returning. but if both happen.........
-
maybe you got the wrong end of the horse...
-
I think he'll get several looks early on in the season, and an occaisional start here and there against weaker WCHA competition just to give Phil a rest, but when we hit the stretch run to the post season, PL will be in net every night.
-
I've seen a couple on his current team! Don't get me wrong, I too agree he may be a more intelligent player than Sid, but to claim he's a better all-round player than Crosby at this time may be a bit out there.... Our best "all around" product IMHO in recent years from UND was Zach Parise.
-
Yeah right.....can you imagine what Crosby would have done in the college ranks.....please
-
Might be my own wishful thinking, but there are several logical arguments: -Reuniting with his teammates for another season. (There's clearly a special bond with these guys) -Getting an education -Being part of a banner in REA (No player on the current roster has won anything but a playoff title yet) -Having one more shot at a national championship (Something to prove) -Winning a 3rd gold medal at the Worlds Jrs. (I doubt Chicago would let him go if he signs) -Perhaps most importantly, proving to himself and others he can dominate at the college level. (I'm not sure he's accomplished this yet) I sure wish him well if he decides to move on but in his mind, he may have unfinished business at UND.......

There is a God!

Unfortunately I believe Goligoski will be back and Mn will continue to be the team to beat even if they lose KO. They are not overrated in this poll.
-
If he has surgery, I think he should redshirt 07-08. If this kid isn't 100%, he won't break into the line-up. Take a year and rehab. We'll need him more once we lose the bulk of our team next year.
-
Good to hear...amazing, for the 2007-2008 season (2-3 potential Hobey finalists, including the returning Hobey Baker winner), our strength may actually be our defense! Hope everyone paid for their season ticket renewals because I suspect you'll wish you had.
-
I agree, just surprised there wasn't a press release similar to what was posted for Joe Finley.
-
From inch.....Brian Lee has decided to return? Probably a typo....
-
Hopefully he got bleaching his hair out of his system.....
-
lots of gopher recruits high on the list again....
-
I think it would be reasonable punishment to have him sentenced to 1 year of probation under the supervision of Dave Hakstol at the University of North Dakota.
-
Mn will find someone to get him the puck if he stays and he will be a top goal scorer in the league. The question is does he want to stay? If he returns because the Islander system doesn't want him yet, he could be the next cancer in the locker room because my hunch is that he wants to move on..
-
They have another top notch recruiting class coming in with immediate impact players (Hoeffel, White) and I doubt AG is going anywhere. He recently had shoulder surgery and will be rehabing this summer. I suspect he'll lbe back at MN and lead the WCHA in defense scoring. I would agree that if they lose KO and EJ, they will not have the leadership/experience that a team needs to go deep in the playoffs but the skill level on that team will be high.

As always, Minnesota will be the team to beat. DU will be good but there have been rumblings that Peter Manino may be leaving for the pros. If that happens they will not be nearly as formidable. The teams with steady goaltending will prevail. MN/ND/DU/CC/MT will all have solid goaltending baring injury. Too soon to make any predictions since all the early departures have not been formalized.
