  1. I would support the firing of Childress if Jonathan Toews stays at UND for another year.....
  2. Faces!
  3. Does anyone know if Toews can pitch?
  4. one can dream can't he?
  5. Just Toews.....
  6. Chorney - C Toews - A Oshie - A Duncan - A DOT to AAA which is what other teams will be screaming when they make a rush up ice!
  7. I was referring to your statement, not you as a person. I don't know you well enough to sink to any name-calling and it's quite clear you do not know the Lees.
  8. Those of us that know Brian personally realize how off the mark and idiotic this statement is.
  9. Me neither. Andy was a bruiser and despite his reduced offensive production in his Jr. & Sr. years, he was a tremendous asset to our physical defensive corps. He is not a legitimate comparison to Brian Lee as they come from a completely different mold but we can't judge our D based on offensive stats alone. The loss of Brian's experience will hurt. I hope he stays.
  10. First Two Seasons Andy Schneider 14 goals 41 assists Junior Season Andy Schneider 2 goals 10 assists Senior Season Andy Schneider 2 goals 8 assists Just depends on how coaches use players in a role. If Lee returns (And I hope he does), he'll not go backwards offensively.
  11. My bad, you are correct it was the Ben Smith goal. Still a bad decision not to start the DOT line on the penalty kill after a TV timeout in the BC end. Hopefully my memory will get worse as I'd prefer to forget the whole FF!
  12. It was the Bud light under his arm that distracted us....
  13. That was a key face-off but I don't necessarily agree. The key face-off Toews didn't win is the one he never got a chance to win. If you all recall, at about the 7:19 mark of the third period, there was a TV timeout with the faceoff coming in the BC end. Hakstol sends out the 3rd line even though the DOT line had gotten a nice rest. This proved to be the bench's biggest mistake of the year. In a 3-3 game, shortly after a momentum changing shorthanded goal by Oshie and with minutes left in the game, you have to send that top line out on the penalty kill. BC wins the face-off, Motherwell starts the rush up ice and we lose the game on an odd-man rush that started 170 feet from our net and that little prick Gerbe buries it. I cannot fault the players for this game-changing event.
  14. Joe, try to be at the Adams Mark no later than 12:30pm......I'll need a few pre-game / pre-game suds before heading to Al Hraboskys for the pep rally.
  15. Joe is still looking for riders. Give him a call or e-mail him at perttu@synopsys.com. He doesn't want to be lonely on such a long drive.
  16. He's got a reservation at the Adams but was probably going to bunk with me. If he gets extra people he may keep the room.
  17. We are 11-0-0 when Darcy Zajac or Erik Fabian scores. I think we all know who we want to score.
  18. A friend of mine is heading to St.Louis and has room for 3 additional passengers that need a ride. Great guy, UND Alumni, and a diehard SIOUX fan. He lives in the Twin Cities and will coordinate pick up to accommodate anyone who wants to share the trip. Give Joe a call @612-670-9013. GO SIOUX!
  19. You're right, Gretzky couldn't hold Crosby's jockstrap.
  20. No question the DOT line is a great line, but I doubt if it would even make top five of the all-time best UND line combinations. We've had some really potent lines over the last 25 years. Winning #8 will undoubtedly move them up in my book though........
  21. I hope it's more similar to 1987. UND over Mich St Hrkac wins Hobey
  22. Ehn was pointless in the regional against MN which doesn't bode well for his chances. I too feel good about Duncan's chances given his year long consistency, poise and academics and he directly contributed to our advancing to the FF in the West Regional. But I have a gut feel a slight edge goes to Brown. Without him, Notre Dame would have been middle of the pack at best in the CCHA and out of the NCAAs. Congrats Ryan!
  23. With only 3 players graduating and 6 recruits committed for 2007, where will they end up if our flight risks decide to stay another year? Players Out / Players In Foyt -- Marto Porter -- Malone Fabian -- Hextall Toews? -- Trupp Oshie? -- Hamilton Lee? -- Lapointe Chorney? Finley?
  24. Blais was on Hot Talk with Scott Hennen today and gave great kudos to Coach Hakstol and the rest of the coaching staff (despite the loss of Brad Berry). Said the job he's doing is making people forget about Gino and Deano. He also weighed in on how the goofers were paying more attention to their future NHL contracts instead of taking care of business. He also commented on how "high schoolish" it was for them to bleach their hair to try and gain team unity.
