Hope the team has a more positive attitude than the folks posting here. It would put a tooth-glittering smile on my face if you made the Eagles scream in dismay. With the right set of mind I think you have a shot.

I thought you guys were going to kick butt this year but, cripes, now you have both of your own cheeks bruised. It can only go upward from here.
-
A rotten deal for the player and the team. Hope he heals well and on time.
-
You guys had a good season, sorry you didn't make it to the next tier.
-
Congratulations on a fine season. Hope you guys run deep in the playoffs.
-
Congratulations, nice win.

Go get 'em. Hope we meet in the playoffs.

I will probably be taken as a smart ass here, but I don't mean it that way... You guys should start a series with MSU. It should be called the "BRAWL OF THE PRAIRIE" - much more permanent than any boom. The trophy should be a large bronze meadow muffin, an apt counterpoint to the pile o'!@#$ trophy great divide between MSU & UM. This is where that smart ass factor comes into play, but really, there can be a competitive factor and a sense of humor at the same time - have you looked at the UM/MSU trophy !? On other notes, while counting your 2016 chickens, watch out for Cal Poly. And, while some UM fans feel you guys play dirty, I think that is a hangover from what ZooTowners felt were some cheap shots a number of years ago. The Griz fans I hang out with see you guys as a program on the rise. I want to see a Big Sky with a high level of play across the board, and one of us being the division champs every year.

Yes, Ash canned.
-
You guys got hosed.
-
You guys have gotten no respect all season. Hope you tromp Poly and make the playoffs (along with the Griz) .
-
If you guys can run up our gut the way Weber did, you have a good shot. If we can pass at will, you are screwed. I expect some mix of those two possibilities. Ain't football fun?

Nice win! Big sky is looking good!

Congratulations on a big win. You folks have had some tough breaks in recent times. I'm happy for you.

"No way he was celebrating that the player was hurt - not that kinda player and not that kinda team." Watch the repay. Who is writhing, who is high fiving? I'm not saying this typical of your program, but it happened.
-
I never said it was a cheap shot. I just think high fives while a player is writhing on the ground and you just got flagged for it shows no class.

The game went as I expected - D v/s D with the outcome decided by a few quirky plays and the way the refs called the game. I noticed 3 things: 1) You guys really do have a really good D. 2) Big sky refs are bad enough that it may well have effected the outcome (either way). 3) # 51 celebrating after being called on a personal foul where one of the opposition's key players was injured was totally classless.

UND can take them.

I think you guys are beating yourselves up more than you should. Yeah, you are 1-2 but got beat by top 9 teams in the FCS. You had good moments, showed spirit and made it a game in one. The Griz smoked you, but the QB is one of the tops in the FCS and had a stellar day. 15 of 19 and of the 4 incompletes two were dropped by receivers and one was intentionally thrown away. People were open, but they didn't have to be very open. I suspect the coaches expected a run game (everyone at egriz certainly did) and quick passing TDs got everyone questioning and second guessing themselves. UND is certainly a better team than the last game's score indicates. So, don't mope. Pull things together and beat the Cats!

"The only thing I enjoy more than seeing the offense put up points is watching a defense smash an opponent into the fetal position. I've been waiting a while to see that again. Hopefully soon." Be careful what you wish for. I think that is the Griz plan.

Given last year, I suspect UM is more worried about covering the receivers than who is chucking the ball. And, indeed, our punter, Shaw, is the real deal. Before one of the spring scrimmages, I watched him stand on the 45 and punt ball after ball through the uprights. That said, I'm hoping UND won't see much of him. Here is to a good game with no injuries (clink and sip) and a continued intense but friendly rivalry (many more clinks and sips). I wish the Sioux a great season starting next Sunday.
