Congratulations Coach Pryor. You'll be the one to take us to our first NCAA appearance and win and pack the Betty with 2000.avg crowds. The vball program will be the premiere mid major program the Midwest.

Would agree. Been suggesting it for a couple.months. But then again its Jim's forum and he's done so much for the UND community over the years that I hesitate to ask for more.

There is no talk of formally dividing Division I from the power conferences, just that the power conferences could have voting rights to ram some issue through: like paying players a stipend. The power conferences already have preferential voting. The proposals would give them power over DI to get their pet issues passed.

Was on the Allegiant flight from GFK to Mesa and my Sioux hoodie was very popular with the flight and ground crew! A guy from FAU (not FU) remarked about it (had an Owls hoodie on him), thinking the name was dead. Told him an owl was a lot more offensive to the Sioux than the Sioux name. Checking into a hotel in Orlando, a tall black guy remarked about it too. He used to play at BJC and then E Mich.

Is this happening?

Here's an example. A company out of Calgary offer huge tanks that can be rented and assembled by one person. Cheaper than building a reserve pit and doesn't require much ground work. http://www.wateronline.com/doc/cst-storage-launches-hydrotec-mb-mobile-temporary-storage-tank-0001 There can be a another "tank" where the mud / cuttings drops into and then the liguid overflows to another tank. http://www.bakercorp.com/tanks.asp

Utah State's view of Shanks: http://www.usufans.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=31028

SDSU board had Shanks envy. First they thought they'd go after him, then they started the rumor that he was only good enough for D2, then they thought UM had him and then they really wanted him again. After all, they are the flagship program of the Summit! Guess the Bison fans need to educate the bunnies about how good Shanks is, because bisonville knows everything, even better than Saul. http://sdsufans.com/...on-Shanks/page2 Montana seems like the only Big Sky team that has a history of big talented centers.

Weber State (5-6, 2-1) @ UND (5-8, 2-1)

Anderson seems to have host confidence because his playing time has gone down. Is the coaching staffs decision to not redshirt Hooker paying off? I would say 'no' as there is too much wasted talent sitting on bench with Anderson, Schuler, Webb, and Stefan. Anderson proved it last year and gets just a slap in the face. The chemistry is way off and the coaches are what screwed it up. -
The Big Sky could do a reverse merger with the WAC and gain FBS status (then its teams could transition to FBS), but the time is about up. The WAC supposedly only retain FBS status until next July.
-
The Big Sky would have to find 8 existing FBS teams to qualify as FBS. It has one (Idaho) and the only other school is could get is NMSU.

Bet Buffet now comes out in support of the Keystone XL, and convinces Obama to change his mind, because he can now make money by using his polymer to get the heavy stuff from Canada flowing without diluent. http://www.nasdaq.com/article/buffett-looks-at-pipelines-after-north-dakota-train-wreck-cm316707 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-08/unforseen-u-s-oil-boom-upends-world-markets-as-drilling-spreads.html

ORU had to have a beef with the Southland Conference. Before a schedule is released, the Southland in supposed to check for compliance with DI standards. A sloppy job on ORUs part and on the Southland's part. Stephen F Austin will probably have to forfeit too. http://www.midmajormadness.com/2014/1/7/5285624/southland-conference-oral-roberts-forced-to-forfeit-two-games

There's a whole other class of tank cars that carry highly volatile chemicals like chlorine, propane, and even compressed gases. Bakken oil can be shipped but its just more difficult because those higher rated railcars are just more rare. The railcar manufacturers are going gangbusters producing cars and will have even more business producing cars that can withstand more pressure or accidents. The other alternative is that the oil loaders must degas the oil using strippers or tank sparging (using nitrogen).
-
Oil companies were no longer using reserve pits because temporary "tanks" could be set up that are actually cheaper then constructing the reserve pits. Oil companies actually became environmentalists when the cost was cheaper.

UBC can't go because they chose CIS over NCAA. A transition would take years for UBC and cause a political firestorm. SF is an NCAA DII school with the immediate potential to go DI in hockey only but they would have to drop former major junior players if they go varsity. Recruiting would be easy for Simon Fraser, even without MJ players.
-
I believe that Simon Fraser is determining whether it goes DI in hockey and the NCHC is scouting them out. This is kinda like a dry run. Rumors have been floated by Bowling Green that a bus league CCHA will be reforumulated with BGSU, Ferris, W Mich, Miami, Robert Morris, Mercyhurst, Niagara, Canisius, and maybe Syracuse. The NCHC needs more than six teams and CBS will call the shot on whom they would add: a school like SFU could get on Canadian Cable and then add another western school (or three), like E Wash, Utah, or the Arizonas, or maybe even Washington or USC. http://thehockeywrit...und-the-corner/ Schlossman's twitter is kind of tongue in cheek about the weather, but there is possible substance to it. FollowSchlossman‏@SchlossmanGF I think we can all get behind the idea of UBC or Simon Fraser to the NCHC. pic.twitter.com/Z1fGH234UH

A Bakken Express pipeline was cancelled because of lack of producer interest. http://trib.com/business/energy/oneok-cancels-wyoming-pipeline-for-bakken-oil/article_cbdd15d9-25d1-5fd1-8e91-5606435e2aa7.html A natural gas liquids pipeline was just built and crosses the Ogallala acquifer in Wyoming (and effect the acquifer Nebraska is concerned about far more than Canadian crude) because its components are light (natural gasoline) and can seep deep - but nary a word from Nebraska environmentalist that are so alarmed by Keystone. Railroads allow the oil companies higher prices to refineries on the east and west coasts. Gulf Coast refineries need heavy crude of operate efficiently (from Mexico, Venezuela, and Canada), so Bakken crude is prices lower on the Gulf (and competes with West Texas intermediate, which is similar to Bakken). What would be ideal is a pipeline to the Gulf Coast (were there is a lot of infrastructure), and then tankers that can take the oil to east and west coast refineries. Refineries in California, Washington, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania can't use heavy crude easily and desperately want the Bakken oil rather than Libya's crude. In six years, Bakken production is likely to get to 2 million barrels a day, so this situation will get far worse without pipelines. A pipeline over sensitive water areas can be double contained, unlike railroads.

High selenium wheat is highly prized in Asia, because selenium is rare in the diet there and ND and SD wheat has high concentrations naturally. Selenium is an essential nutrient at low levels: not as bad as environmentalists like to make it out to be. http://www.northern-crops.com/newsinfo/milljournal/07seleniumwheat.pdf

77 scholarships is the minimum for FBS (90 percent of 85).
