Its Metro State that he is referring to. The WAC has an even bigger footprint than Sky. Maybe GCU too. Was just in Phoenix and GCU definitely gained media attention.from DIi days.

Portland State Football - "must be fiscally self-sufficient"
SiouxVolley replied to The Sicatoka's topic in NCAA News
A winning program is not going to attract flies at PSU unless its FBS. This is the first wave in the Big Sky to FBS push. There's no profit or breakeven for sports at all for PSU: why are they demanding football breakeven?Have maintained for a while that UM, MSU, PSU, Sac, UND, EWU, NAU, WSU with NDSU would make a push for FBS on their terms (77 schollies). Why stay FCS when there is more to gain by FBS for less cost. Start bowls in Seattle and the Twin Cities Dome and you have the bowls needed for the conference. -

Next year, Wyoming begins collecting nearly $1 mill more from to football playoff. Couple that with MWC payouts and FBS bodybag games and its easier to pay FBS salaries., -
Jason Shay was on the NCAA bad boy list too by mistake and that didn't stop Faison from OKing his hiring,

F For a Jack fan, you must be the most clueless of the cluesless for calling me Rob. I don't live in Minot and have never met the man! Your cluelessness is only made worse be reading the maniacal bisonville board. Strange how its ok for the Jacks to aspire to the MVC, but when ORU does aspirations, that so non-sensical. ORU was a finalist last year, while SDSU didn't even gat a courtesy call. ORU will be in the MVC decades before SDSU.
-
Oral Bob board is talking they need to be in the Slummit to get a MVC bid. The MVC wants a Midwest school in a Midwest conference for their next pick. By joining the Slummit, they can replace Mo St so Wichita State it not an island. ORU did not like the Southland because it was not paired with Texas-Arlington anymore. The divisions included them with La and Ark schools, which didn't do them any favors.
-
ORU just feels it has a chance to replace Mo St in the MVC, so that's the reason it took TSL offer. The Slummit has to move fast and add DII teams to take advantage of its new found life.,
-
He won't move to NODak with as just OC.

Impressive candidate : http://www.cugoldenbears.com/coaches.aspx?path=wvball&rc=61

Invite Black Hills St and Mary and SDSU fans would be tickled!
-
Guess ORU did not like the politics of the Southland! They probably were offered a pretty good deal: no entry fee, Kansas DII team (Washburn for travel), and baseball championships. The pressure will be on the WAC now, as they can't lose UMKC. With the Summit league not immediately perishing, we won't be hassled to join the Slummit.

OneOk announces largest gas plant yet. Five others have been announced in the past five years. http://www.tulsaworld.com/business/energy/oneok-partners-plans-bakken-projects-worth-million/article_c1fe26c4-fe70-5369-bbb2-051a046705e5.html

The crime rate is the same, but the # of people has increased by three times.

Thanks to Ellen Krueger, Lisa Parlich, and Ronnie Munkeby and the rest of the girls for the first Big Sky championship! Idaho State must have unveiled a new wrinkle that the other teams had not seen yet. Next year, need the Betty to host.

In volleyball, the top recruits in the FM area are choosing UND (Dooley of Central Cass, Fraase of Shanley), so the Jan Brady syndrome is taking is full effect!
-
Probably a N/S split, but with UNC in the North and Idaho State in the south. Otherwise they have to partner ISU and UND, and that doesn't work for travel.

Normally, a conference usually just dissolves like the Great Midwest and the Metro. The Summit actually merged with the East Coast Conference to survive, killing the ECC off. But the NCAA rules are now different, so its more likely that a conference can still survive by maintaining single sports bids in women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc while losing its money-making bid for men s basketball. For the Summit, it has to find a way for six baseball teams to keep its basketball bid. Right now it has NDSU, SDSU, W Ill, IPFW and UNO would qualify in 2015. By NCAA rules, it will lose its bid if it doesn't get at least one more team and apply for a waiver for an additional year.
-
The last independent, NJIT, looks no longer available to the Summit. NJIT is adding men's lacrosse with a goal of starting in 2015. Men's lacrosse is a core sport for America East, which is certainly a target and adding lacrosse appears to be the ticket to membership.

Interesting page at JLG architect: http://jlgarchitects...ena-master-plan Obviously it won't happen that way, but Indiana U apparently was interested in the plans.

The best candidates likely have agents who manage their applications. The candidates so far probably have no agent or no one handling their affairs. The "head hunter" candidates normally apply just before the deadline, to minimize the effect on their current job.

The former Griffith's at 3rd and Demers would be the logical choice, but its filling up now. Any UND Downtown should be performing arts, painting, pottery, communications, with emphasis on art studios.
-
http://www.businessw...business-school Continental Resources, EOG, XTO, Hess, Statoil, or Oasis would be nice sponsors.

Denver should be favored.

So-called self appointed recruiting experts were totally delusional over at Bisonville: He has said the bison are better at every position.
