Was really expecting a Ralph double header, but alas, not to be. Guess two bb games are not nearly as lucrative as a concert for the Ralph. The timing of those games will make for a long day for those who have tickets to both.

South Alabama designated a block of new frats and sororities near it's new indoor practice center. Looks nice, but further off from traffic. Seen new Greek Villages mostly on new campuses. The parking lot there is a big negative in appearance, but needed somewhere. Several Greek houses on cross streets probably should probably move anyway.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

Each of the state's touching the Missouri River have water rights to part of it. Those rights have been litigating much in court, along with Indian Reservation rights, and they still stand. Any major water withdrawal, changes in reservoir control, or additional damning of the Missouri will be challenged in court, even if it has been litigated before. -
Adidas has been leading athletes to Kansas, including this one for next year. Kansas always seems to reload, as does Kentucky, with the best players that are set for the NBA -as if they are thoroughbred farms. http://www.chatsports.com/kansas-jayhawks/a/sources-adidas-was-trying-steer-five-star-2018-recruit-kansas-35608 Alabama pays diddly squat to Saban to keep him, the Alabama employee maximum of like $300 k. But Saban gets over $6 mill a year from Nike and boosters. In the past, Bama boosters were notorious for sliding greasy money into recruits hands, but nothing has come up since Saban took over. Could Nike be paying Saban's recruits now, and taken the dirty work off Bama's Boosters? Too many five star recruits seem to end up there.

Agree. NDSU is proficient at graduating crooks every generation and annoiting other ones Presidents. A lot of smaller towns might shrink or die, but your dream of killing off GF or Minot or Williston or Dickinson or Watford City is downright evil and delusional. The Bakken region will gain many votes in the 2022 legislature. -

The ND legislature will not pay for another med and law school. If new ones are established, it would be started by U Mary, possibly even in Fargo. U MARY seems to have much ambition, just like Creighton in Nebraska. -
UND hires Firm to Review Officials in Athletic Department

Purpur would be a genuine coup once Faison retires. If we could only be that fortunate. -
Pitino and Petrino kind of flock together in my mind. Pitino hasn't actually been fired, but just giving a leave of absence without pay.

An AD needs more organizational skills, fundraising ability, and plain ole back slapping skills. Think Steve Brekke, Kyle Doperalski, and Mike Mannausau have much more of the skills required. Steve and Kyle are already Associate AD's while Mike and Jayson are assistant AD's. Two candidates that might be considered are Brad Berry and Bubba Schweigert,, who I perceive as having immense leadership skills. They both have an heir apparent on board already for their jobs IMHO and are both passionate about UND and UND athletics. -

Donors might already be at the door with a new School of Business building on University. With the new Columbia Hall, they would create a plethora of classroom space allowing for a major enrollment boost. The students though would need to be recruited from mostly Minnesota. -
Massey says that Idaho Thursday should be our toughest remaining home game, if that is possible.

He didn't want to fuel such foolish stories? The Governor was in town and he couldn't take the time? If Kennedy was going to hire a contractor to get ammo to fire someone, the last thing that they would be carrying is a Hogan assessment. There needs to be an heir apparent for Faison soon, even if he hasn't been officially declared that. Organizations always need succession plans for unseen events. -
Actually would be surprised if Teddy Bridgewater and Lamar Jackson weren't funneled into the Louisville program because of Adidas payments. Those two are both from S Florida and single mother homes that needed cash. Adidas doesn't want to be associated with a loser fb program, which Louisville formerly was like a decade ago and it takes major money for facilities and extra good recruiting to get athletes mentioned. Can't say I blame the kids or their parent. Football isn't as lucrative for name brands as basketball shoes, but the apparel companies still want a part of it.

So Fargo Corporations will give hundreds of millions to build a new football stadium? That will be something to see, -
Now reports that Nike people have been subpoenaed by the FBI.

The Hogan Assessment is mainly designed to show each person how they can be more effective, or surround yourself with people who complement you by compensating for weaknesses. Think this is an actual positive step. They wouldn't be paying for a Hogan Assessment as a pretext for getting rid of people. Corporations run assessments routinely as a way for the employees to know themselves better and in turn be more efficient and have a well rounded organization. There is not a boogeyman behind every door. -
According to news reports, Louisville AD Jurich and Coach Pitino have been fired. News conference at 1 PM.

Shanks transferred to Loyola of Chicago, as apparently they had a better playing environment (time) for him than Utah State.

Last month, Louisville signed to fourth biggest apparel college deal ever: $160 million for 10 years with Adidas. Louisville football has gone through the roof too, as now they have regular Heisman trophy finalists. The New York Post reported that there is a major FBI investigation over the Louisville programs. http://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2017/08/25/university-louisville-announces-adidas-apparel-contract-extension/600482001/ Nebraska just signed a $128 million 11 year deal two weeks ago with adidas. We're almost talking real money here. If Adidas wanted those teams on major networks to make sure the deal is equitable for them, a $20k under the table payment to a potential starving athlete is nothing but couch change.

NDSU has its eyes on the NDSSS campus in Fargo. The move by the Wahpeton school has enraged SU backers. What Moser says has some kernels of truth to them, but wrapped in BS of course. -
Expect major issues against Louisville and Pitino. Louisville has already acknowledged that there has been an FBI probe involving them. Seems all charges are not finalized.

Brett Murphy @Brett Murphy To put this in hoops lingo: FBI w/wire taps is No. 1 overall seed, NCAA Committee on Infractions is a 16 seed.

There have been a slew of arrests of college coaches and Adidas corporate types for bribery and fraud and other charges. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/20824193/ncaa-basketball-coaches-10-charged-fraud-corruption A former NCAA official says these arrests are only the beginning to one of the biggest athletic scandals in our lifetime. Adidas was making payments under the table to recruits that went to Adidas schools. Signing up a school to be Adidas or Nike involved major bucks, as those of panties would help recruit with payments. Oklahoma St, Auburn, Louisville, South Carolina, Arizona, Southern California are involved. Other Adidas schools are Kansas, Indiana, NC State, Ms St, Texas A&M, Rutgers, Miami. Auburn is an Under Armour school, but the assistant coach that was charged recently joined.

That kind of signals Crandall may graduate transfer next year. Hope I'm wrong. May just be repercussione from personal issues.
