Looks like a combo right OH/ Setter from Southern Minnesota has verbally committed, 6'1" Abbey Bigelow, who graduates in 2019 from Kasson-Mantorville HS. http://volleymob.com/class-2019-recruit-abbey-bigelow-commits-north-dakota/

There is only three pages of talk, but one has to know where to look: recruiting section. http://Shockernet.net

Hunt has the height for replacing Dooley and Flores is likely a very offensive oriented libero. On paper, a top notch class.

So if I am being accused of wanting a better profile for UND than FBS Bowling Green, La-Monroe, or Coastal Carolina, guilty as charged. If I am being charged with not running down the coaches and generally not bitching like other posters, here, guilty as charged. If I am not kissing NDSU's ass like many of the posters here seem to demand, as if that the be end and all, guilty as charged. Previously the WAC was the only route to FBS , and I have explained in detail why that is no longer valid when Liberty went FBS. But as someone who believes in hope and purposeful changed, guess that doesn't measure up to the constant whining and bitching that So many posters demand.

Think we can thank Trey Buchanan for getting Jal aboard as they we're both members of the Kingdom Way AAU team. Jal's family are refugees from South Sudan so they know a blessing when they experience one and they almost certainly are not into the basketball shoe idol and culture. The Wichita St message board is in total shock. Have not checked the LSU, OU or Texas Tech ones.

Guess from your own experience you can't chew gum and do something else too? All righty then.

Here's the list I was referring to: http://www.carrsportsconsulting.com/Services/ManagementConsulting/FeasibilityStudy.aspx

Used to be the AD at Houston and now has his own consulting firm. If you examine the schools that have used him, almost all have made a major move up shortly after consulting with him.
-
He has a tremendous contact list so he himself is like a search firm. But thought he was busy at Montana St
-
Bill Carr of CarrSports is on the committee. He shows up if schools are serious about upgrading competition levels. Like going FBS.

FC Barcelona may switch to French or Italian Leagues
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Non-collegiate sports
In the past year, there has been talk of European Super league taking over the Champions League tournament for Euro club champ. Right now, in all the leagues there are tiny clubs with 10k seats that qualify for their nations top league. Barca plays at 10 k seat stadiums right now in La Liga, compared to its home with 100k seats in Barcelona. That is worse than the Vikings playing a game at the Alerus.. Although Barca denies it, Catalonian indepence could be the accelerant for a Euro Superleague. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11833/11074230/ -
With the loss to Idaho, UND has now fallen to #68. Sac St, which will host the BSC tournament, is now at #64. From the Summit, Denver is now ahead of UND, so next year won't be a cakewalk.

Real Madrid and La Liga would get screwed, much as Catalonia has been politically screwed. That's the whole point. Besides tensions are very high and deaths could result from playing. If Barca can make a deal with the English Premiere League, the TV rights would go from high to astronomical as the whole soccer world would tune in. -
With Catalonia declaring independence, FC Barcelona could be left with out a league, as their fans are already enraged that Spain has declared Catalonia's vote and independence null and void. Catalonia is the economic engine for Spain, so understand why Spain needs it, but it should be it's own country like in the days before Ferdinand and Isabella, who united the Kingdoms of Aragon and Castille to form Spain. FC Barcelona is one of the most valuable sporting properties in the world. If it jumps to another league, that league would have a vastly bigger TV audience. The English League might make the most sense. http://www.marketplace.org/2017/10/04/world/catalonias-independence-could-shake-soccer

Have qualifications been posted yet? Or will that be set by a commitee? Anyone know target dates for getting the proceas started?

Some Montana and NDSU fans think they belong in the MWC too. A new Summit would split the difference.
-
My whole point was it didn't mean a thing, but some boards exclaim to the world that UMKC is going to the Summit. This confirms that you really are dense. How un-PC of me.
-
Volleyball can be revenue. XC and T&F won't have dual meets at every school.
-
The major reason thad ORU is DI is for awareness and student recruiting. The WAC with Texas schools fits the ORU pentecostalistic market much better. The Summit didn't include ORU for their academic prowess, as just like WIU, they were a warm body.
-
The Montanas dont have many non-revenue teams that need to fly: women's soccer and softball and tennis. The academic side is much more important to the Presidents. This is not HS leagues ware talking about. ORU probably used the Summit as a rest stop before ccontinuing on to the WAC. If Incarnate Word goes Fbs, that Southland schools like Sam Houston St will follow and that would be a nice league for ORU and UMKC.
-
Think they have contingency plans for a contingency. Losing an autobid could cost them jobs, money and give them much dishonor. Chapman tried to barge his way into the Big Sky because he knew that the Montanas longed for flagship schools nearby after Nevada, Idaho and Boise st left. That situation hasnt changed. Their s a natural grouping of northern tier schools that is just crying out now to happen.
-
UND has now fallen to #63 on Massey. The Iowa State loss didnt cost much but the Montana St one did because MSU is so low rated. Portland St and Sac St fell similar slots, as their wins against UND now arent as valuable.
-
Lose IPFW to the Horizon and ORU to the WAC and then Idaho, the Montanas and EWU move over. W Illinois goes to the OVC. Because the Summit hasn't added a transitional school five years ago, that they have a plan going forward grabbing Big Sky schools. Presidents are much more aware of realignment movements years before they happen. So that they know if things are going according to their plan. Maryland and Rutgers' moves came out of the blue, which caused a lot of other movement that was earlier than expected.
-
Whatever UMKC does won't effect the Summit. Idaho only joined the Big Sky because it couldnt get regional schools to its liking in the WAC. Idaho has stated that they need a regional conference to make FBS a go. Believe that holds for the Montana's too. CUSA needs a smaller conference for fbs to be economical. Staying FCS would work but there is much less incentive for Idaho or the Montana's to move so there wouldn't be enough teams. W Illinois simply doesnt do it. The discovery of this old link has gotten some people in a tissy. IUPUI in the link works as well. http://www.thesummitleague.org/members/umkc/index UMKC if it starts football would make more sense going to Texas. Not saying it will happen.

Didnt say that could win championships, but their facilities can be out of this world. To qualify for FBS one needs time and boatloads of cash. TCU, SMU and Rice have fewer undergrads but 10 figure endowments. UIW can close that sporting gap if they have committed donors.
