Did they dictate that UND play the late game?
-
Great listen. I feel our program is in a really good spot right now.

Hopefully Tommy is a good recruiter!

Couple of questions: How vulnerable are the Bison? I haven't watched them (nor have I ever watched them), but I know they've had some offensive struggles. I've heard some compare their defense to ours, which means points will probably be hard to come by. First to 21 wins? In UND's two games where we've won handily (SUI and WIU), our defense gave up a touchdown late in the game. Does anyone know - were we playing our reserves at those times? I'll even take what @AJS said about turnovers one step further - if we win the turnover battle, we will win. I think the squads are pretty even, but UND's offense is better. Keep the ball in our hands on offense and we're in good shape.
-
No. Once UND got up 24-7, they never lead by less than 17.
-
Obviously should’ve had one more score in there.
-
Still not a complete game (2 lost turnovers, including 1 deep in their territory), but we did what was expected as a higher ranked team against a lesser opponent. Next week will be the true barometer to see if we’ve arrived. Until we beat that team, we haven’t done enough.

Since I am a Midco cable subscriber and get everything MidcoSN broadcasts, plus the Sports & Variety package added on (to get CBSSN), I have more than enough sports to watch on my regular TV, so this would purely be for UND football. Still on the fence...I may just listen on the radio.

According to this article, ESPN+ and/or ESPN3, a digital platform that is available to most internet subscribers in America, will broadcast all the Valley Football games this season. https://thesouthern.com/sports/college/salukimania/espn-digital-platforms-have-benefits-but-valley-football-wanted-more-in-2021/article_de6ecc3f-51b9-5e5f-ac8d-88cfe82d76cc.html So, does that mean MVFC TV is basically a way of saying it will be on either ESPN+ or ESPN3, but the conference was not sure which one at the time of publishing?
-
Has anyone answered this question? I am curious too.
-
And all of UND's road games will be on ESPN+, correct? If so, all of the road games will be in the month, so paying $5.99 to watch 3 games seems like a decent deal.
-
Does ESPN+ require a subscription even if your TV package includes ESPN?

Forecast update from NWS: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Rain should hold off until well after the game. Don't see any reason why our offense of rushing and short passes should have any weather-related limitations. Probably won't take any deep shots if wind is gusty.
-
Forecast still looking like it won't be much of an issue - High near 50 under partly sunny skies. Haven't been able to get a great wind forecast - looks like an east wind (which would be across the field), but I don't think the intensity is known yet. Game plan is to pound the ground, I assume?

Yes, someone on this board reminded the members here of that as well.
-
So, how small of a margin of victory will feel like a loss? I'd say that I'm good with any victory that isn't determined in the last few plays of the game.
-
Everyone back for 2021-22 except for Panoam, right? How about players coming in? I don't follow basketball recruiting very well. If we were a 5 seed this year, I think we should be able to wear the home jersey (i.e. higher seed) when we play a Summit League quarterfinal game next year.
-
Basically what I said on my second school of thought earlier.
-
Yes, but I don’t expect a team to run the same plays season after season. I’m sure Danny has some new stuff ready for when Brock plays again.
-
I guess another school of thought might be to let him have some live game action before the SU game, and just use him very basically. Not show any cards, so to speak. We should win definitely without showing too many wrinkles of the playbook.
-
Yes, I think so. I don’t want him on tape prior to NDSU.
-
UND should be able to get some outdoor practices in this week. That will be huge for preparation.

Wisconsin win the Big Ten regular season. Last conference regular season crown was 2000 in the WCHA.
-
Yeah, nothing wrong with them having a total collapse.
