Yeah smart move…he has to play on a skilled line because he’s a skill guy, not really a bottom 3 guy even though he’s a big boy. He deserves a longer leash given his pedigree

Agreed I’d start DeRidder again. Ive been fairly vocal about Kunz playing…his leash may be getting shorter and shorter. Foot speed can be an issue with him. Portz with 2 pts in 2 games, he’ll stay in the lineup

That actually says something. I’ve never been overly high on Frisch, especially those early years when Bubs used to play him over Tyconick (I believe). He’s really grown on me though. Not sure if he’ll make the show but should be playing some sort of pro hockey for a while.

In summary: dzone coverage is atrocious, goalies are just ok. Blake and OM are studs.

Yep…goalies aren’t stealing anything. But high % scoring opps do go in from time to time. And we definitely don’t have high end tendy’s so we better clean up the dzone coverage issues.

Blame it on the goalies (and they definitely aren’t stealing any) but our D zone coverage is so much worse than Q’s. Even that 4th was a completely clean look right at the top of the circle. Low blocker…those go in sometimes. #8 has to have that guy

Two wins where our skilled guys didn’t do much though.

Def not goalies fault but he should have been yanked. First goal was iffy (although Moore’s fault), can’t remember 2nd, third was a great shot. Either way he has to get pulled. 3 on 7 with only 2 blocked shots??? You’d like a goalie to steal one there. can Bubs grab one of the two 6’6” goalies sitting on Q’s bench?

Really like the lineup other than I think Moore and Johnson should play with one another. Also, kind of wish strinden was in but fine with Albrecht

Moldenhauer can go anywhere, guessing that’s the reason he hasn’t committed. I have seen that second name you mentioned play. He’s solid, I’d like to wait until he plays juniors. Hensler is the kid Bubs needs to get.

Solid weekend…showed we can have good depth scoring and our dcore is nasty. A bit concerned with the skill guys. They should have had more success against HC, especially with how our D looked.
