  1. Which is another great reason why he didn't come back.
  2. Just wondering....why? As a UND fan I would say sure, we definitely could have used him that next year. As a hockey fan I don't think his decision was that bad. I don't think an extra year of college would have catapulted him to NHL stardom. Either way his skating ability was his downfall and he would have probably ended up going through the same minor league route. At least he figured it out a year earlier I guess.
  3. Tippet or johnson are the only other two guys I would want to see coach UND. Tippet would never happen though.
  4. Agreed, his assistants did a lot of work but let's not kid ourselves. Blais laid the foundation. Blais's network is so far reaching and he actually recruited pretty much all his top recruits. Did his assistants make runs of him? Sure. But Blais pulled the kids, not his assistants. On a side note, this thread is ridiculous. Hak isn't going anywhere nor should he at the moment.
  5. What does that mean? The are like opposite's.
  6. I honestly think he was trying to do too much. Additionally, the US team was pretty young. The team parise and Toews played on were not young. Although I was not impressed with how eichel was playing, I could tell he was very very good. He'll be a very good NHL player.
  7. ....Ouch http://www.uscho.com/stats/team/niagara/mens-hockey/2014-2015/
  8. He reminds me a lot of a former LSU QB.
  9. Well he has received top 6 minutes the entire season and has been included on the PP so the fact he is 6th on his own team makes sense. Agree he should never sit however to say he is even having an average year is a stretch. .5 pts per game from a top six forward is extremely average.
  10. Glad to see Oregon on the ropes however as a Bama fan this hurts a bit.
  11. That OSU running back is the real deal.
  12. Completely agree. Hak has been recruiting more defenseman, which I actually like to a certain extent. As far as this years team your probably right. Next year some of the underclassman will take a step forward (they always do) and we're getting some nice frosh forwards.
  13. Haha I was trying to spin a positive, one game I watched he won a ton. I stand corrected.
  14. I'm still high on schmaltz. He came in as an offensive defenseman and that's exactly what he's been. As for LJ, not exactly sure what type of player he will end up being. Judging purely on what I've seen (and that's a ton of games) I think he may be more of a third line player (and I was really high on him coming in). He does win draws but each game I watch he starts looking more like grinder that doesn't go very hard. He tends to take lazy stick penalties at terrible times and he simply doesn't hit the stat sheet like a top 6 forward. Also, his footspeed must improve. Hopefully he puts it together by his junior/senior year. We're going to need him.
  15. Cpmpletly agree. Blow these guys out, let the boys have fun and pad their stats.
  16. Agreed, but how does UND fall to #3 with a split against one of the top teams in the entire country? Confused by that one. Not a big deal however, we moved up one in the pairwise which is the only one that counts.
  17. Agreed, zero defense from both teams. It looked like a men's league game. I do think Michigan is better then their record though.
  18. Although getting Boeser, Matthews, Jost or Fabbro are long extreme long shots they would all be offered a spot if they wanted to come here. Hak would make room for them.
  19. Agreed. We just cannot even come close to losing against this team. I would like to see Hak be aggresive and let his guys put up big numbers this coming weekend. I don't want him "trying things" just because we are playing a weaker opponent. These are the games our guys can fill the stat sheet, which is always fun. I wouldn't mind seeing Cam play if we blow them out bad on Friday.
