  1. Agreed, two completely different levels of talent.
  2. haha yeah that was the funniest part, they are actually more like opposites
  3. That makes sense. Great reason to go there too.
  4. Agree....and it's a much tougher league. Much deeper. The BCHL is good though.
  5. http://thehockeywriters.com/chicago-blackhawks-top-10-prospects-5-through-1/?ref=yfp This is the worst assessment of Nick Schmaltz I have ever read. Literally, the worst. The writer is positive when writing about Schmaltz but his assessment of the type of player he is could not be further from accurate.
  6. Absolutely. But real smart kids (and their parents) understand what Harvard and Yale are too. Think Jim Vesey.
  7. I read he has an offer for Yale and Harvard....it would be hard for a kid to pass that up.
  8. The 3x3 prior to a shootout is a great idea. Should be fun to watch.
  9. Just think....if we had a nickname Fabbro probably would have already committed by now.
  10. Big get.
  11. I was. The CPA in my username doesn't have anything to do with my profession however.
  12. haha, I was kind of joking...some of you are intense...enjoy the remainder of your summer.
  13. I am not discounting anything you posted, but I would temper expectations with Wilkie and Gersich. Yes, they could be solid freshman but it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of them went through a learning curve phase. I am expecting a guy like Chyzk to put it together this year. He has shown brief flashes of being decent however his consistency hasn't been there. He plays hard, plays solid D, and has a good shot. To start the year I would like to see him play top 6 minutes. Between Gersich and Wilkie, Gersich may be more likely to succeed in his first year of college hockey because of his motor. I could see Wilkie taking slightly longer.
  14. Good representation huh? I'm guessing I know what their majors are. Also, young kids can be swayed so easily.
  15. Agreed. He has that grinder mentality that could fit on one of the top two lines. He does have offensive skill, he simply needs to find some consistency. Put him out there with Schmaltz and Johnson. Let Caggs play with Boeser and maybe Chyzk to start the year.
  16. ....and the students have spoken. This is going to be an interesting ending I believe.
  17. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Pogo gets a chance to play top six minutes.
  18. Always shocking to see someone you know fairly well go down like this. He should get what he deserves if found guilty.
  19. I agree it would be shocking. He hasn't had that great of an evaluation camp. Cory Pronman had him as a bubble guy too. Boeser looks really good though. .
  20. I don't think hrs a lock, another beat writer tweeted his projected picks and had schmaltz as a bubble guy but boeser was in. If schmaltz doesn't have a top 6 spot he will get cut.
  21. I wonder if there's a chance Schmaltz is cut this year? Would be shocking I know but this team is super deep.
  22. Roughriders....that's it. It's been posted and reposted 3k times:)
  23. Yup, this is a great example of a kid who definitely should have taken the collegiate route. Lucky for him his dad is who he is.
  24. That would make sense. Big, strong, athletic kid. On a side note, I skated with a kid who has skated quite a bit with Wilkie. From what I hear, Wilkie has an NHL shot right now too. I guess he won the hardest shot competition at the USHL all star skills challenge.
