If its a "shattered knee cap" why wouldn't they just come out and say he's done for the season because he wouldn't even be skating again until July at a minimum.

I know, like 3 inches above where his knee cap should be.

If it was his knee cap they should just rule him out because that is a pretty significant surgery.

Oh sorry. In looking at your post it read as if you noted I was noting LJ should come out. I get it now. Either way, LJ probably doesn't come out. But you never know, Hak did sit Mattson for a bit.

I'm almost with you but our lower lines may have some problems. I think Olson needs to get in the lineup.

Mitchell Mattson with an assist today. Glad to see he's playing in the USHL after his high school season ended. I thought he would be playing against Kiersted today but it looks as though Kiersted isn't in CHI yet.

My only thought was if it was something serious they would have taken him to the hospital. They would take the X-rays at the rink and if something looked odd he would head to the hospital. Looks like the official announcement comes tomorrow.

Yeah I was at the 05 title game. That team didn't overcome those losses. We just need to hope this is one big rumor.

Yeah. This whole discussion is depressing. I feel really bad for Mac, guy just can't dodge the injury bug. Trying not to be too negative but this one is a big loss. As a hawks fan I know the Kane loss will certainly end their season early, most likely. Trying to stay positive with our boys but it will be tough sledding from here on out if the rumor is true.

Wouldn't Olson and Simo get a chance well before Panz? Also, I think I would give Murphy a chance again before Panz at F....unless it's strictly a bottom six role.

Well if this many people have heard things I'm guessing there is some truth to Mac being out for the year. This program just cannot catch a break going into the playoffs recently. If he is gone that is a terrible blow. Doesn't look good in the long term.

I get what you're saying but I think this team is very talented. I actually think there may be just as many future NHL players on this team as there was on that 2010-2011 team.
