Last year was an anomaly.

Its always that way for me.

Shawn Hunwick-Guy had the game of his life.

2013 year with Frattin and company. Team was good and we got beat against Yale who went on to win the NC.

Any idea if Siouxsports is planning the Bracket challenge? I really enjoyed doing that in the past.

I have a no idea what happened to Sanderson’s hand but man it would really be something if he would be able to play in the regional. I understand word is he is not but man that would be great if he could go.

I like our regional. If we come to play and play our game we can be heading to the frozen four.

UMD has won 3 Nattys. 2011, 2018 and 2019. Let’s see them have some longevity over what say 60 yrs or so. This is a very ebb and flow, take for instance BC. What have they done lately. They used to win nattys every other year it seemed for awhile there. The fact that UMD does a nice job recruiting but they also have guys who seem to stay longer. This year UMD has a good number of seniors and some 5th yrs. They will have turnover next year and be in a similar position to us this year. Recruiting comes and goes I guess. Some years you do well and others maybe not as well.

Because of that their players stay 5 yrs.

But do you actually build players for that?

I don’t understand that statement. How do you build for the postseason? If you don’t do well during the season you don’t make the postseason.

This isn’t the same WMU team we saw last night.

I hate to admit it but UMD, everything constant, is going to be a very difficult out for anyone. They aren’t the best team by any means but with goaltending and luck they will be tough.

I am not saying Driscoll didn’t play well. However the difference tonight is Fanti is stopping the shots.

I have no idea what the difference was from the penalty UMD just took and what UND took last night but UND got a 5 and UMD a 2. Makes no sense.

Yes of course I should have mentioned their coaching staff is very capable.

I don’t know of a team who has benefitted more from the whole WCHA to NCHC to B1G move than Mankato.
