UND looks to salvage a split on this tough road trip as they head down to Moscow to take on Idaho. Idaho got a nice 6 point win at home against UNC on Thursday This is not the same Idaho team that beat UND 74-71 in Grand Forks, they have suffered injuries to their two top scorers and are not playing at the same high level as before. Cannot understate that this is a must win for UND on the road to prevent Idaho from taking that all critical tiebreaker and keeping UND in the hunt for that 1st round bye and continue to gain separation from the 8-12 place crowd of teams. Also to regain a little momentum heading into the last 3 home conference games of the year (and they are all pretty winnable as well) Other games: UNC (5-7) @ EWU (8-4) SAC (3-8) @ ISU (7-4) PSU (4-7) @ Weber (9-2) SUU (2-10) @ MSU (6-6) NAU (2-10) @ MONT (10-2) The call: UND will bounce back and will give a better road performance and take a key road victory 74-67

Jois is just too much inside.
-
letter of the law its a Flagrant 1 on EWU... but nothing malicious I thought

Seales looked like he got knocked into next week. Edit: has a cut right above his left eye.

oh my... what a sweet pass by Geno

UND gets a huge home win over EWU. 72-69 7 in a row! For the Crew! 7 in a row! For the Crew!
-
take a deep breath, reorganize and play well in the 2nd half.
-
UND just needs to weather the storm so to speak.

2nd part. Who really knows what will happen in 10 years.

And even that might not be enough to get a top 2 spot. This is where dropping the UNC game hurt the most. Unless UND wins the league or something crazy happens in the BSC playoffs, they will more than likely have to go through Weber and Montana to get to the dance. Watch for EWU, they have the guards and post (Jois) that can give Weber and Montana fits as well. I am more concerned about solidifying that top 4 seed. If UND happen to pass Montana or Weber along the way... so be it. Just have to take it one game at a time. Beat Eastern

FINALLY! After 8 failed attempts, the ninth was the charm. UND was able to get a huge victory against Weber and complete a huge home week. Now with 4 wins in the past 5 games, UND looks to keep the momentum going onto the biggest road trip of the season. First up, a trip to EWU. The all time series is now 5-2 in favor of UND, including a 2-1 record at EWU. UND was able to take down the Eagles 77-71 in Grand Forks, and since that loss EWU has won 7 out of their last 9. The high octane offense that EWU runs is going strong, a legit threat to the top of the Big Sky, but UND has developed into a tough defensive unit. While we cannot understate how big the Weber victory was for the team, it cannot get too high. There is much more to be done. A win against EWU gets that all critical tiebreaker against them and will help to solidify our hold on the 3rd spot a little bit more. This weekend and next weekends game should finally start cleaning out the muck that is spots 3-9 Other Games: UNC (5-6) @ Idaho (6-5) PSU (4-6) @ ISU (6-4) SAC (3-7) @ Weber (8-2) SUU (2-9) @ Montana (9-2) NAU (2-9) @ MSU (5-6) The Call: Good offense vs good defense.. something has got to give! This will be another tight one for the team... and once again UND will find a way to steal a tough road game in Cheney. UND 77-74

This thing? Good lord! Whose bright idea was to design this!

In a surprising move, at least to me, Jets get Big Buff to resign for 5 years. Wonder if this means that Ladd could be on his way out?

http://www.press-citizen.com/story/news/education/university-of-iowa/2016/02/08/ui-appoints-new-dean-college-education/80011852/ Seems to be a better fit for him than UND president. And then there were 6....

Not a lot of winners in the commercial department. Lackluster at best. I enjoyed the Heinz one with the dachshunds. Halftime show... messy. I thought it was absolutely unnecessary to bring Bruno and Beyoncé back, especially since they did their own recent halftime shows. Felt it was too dominated on them and not on the main act. Hopefully when it comes to Minnesota in 2 years it doesn't get too convoluted on who they choose. The only good thing about it was Manning got his ring and his ride off into the sunset.

Team needs to follow an old model: Win at home split on the road 5-2 the rest of the way would be more than enough for a top 4 seed. Where that would be? Idk...

I've always said that the same people complaining about Mauer getting the contract would be the same people complaining if Mauer went elsewhere and people saying: See, the Twins don't want to spend $$$ to win!

Standings up to date through 2/6 Mont 9-2 Weber 8-2 UND 7-4 EWU 7-4 ISU 6-4 Idaho 6-5 UNC 5-6 MSU 5-6 PSU 4-6 SAC 3-7 NAU 2-9 SUU 2-9

Eastern and Idaho State picked up victories as well. So UND and EWU will clash for 3rd this coming Thursday.

Still believe that Shanks issues are mainly mental. Figure that out and he will be fine. It would be nice to have had Cashman.....

Yeo was given the "Vote of Confidence" by Fletcher today. He was laughing and said no, no, no when a reporter asked him if there was any chance of a coaching change. Wild have issues everywhere: coaching, offense, defense, youth, and yes goalie. No help from their farm team either. Personal Opinion: No playoffs = blow it up.

ISU up 20 on UNC as they near the half EWU up 12 on SUU with a minute to go in the 1st half
-
It would explain Brew's attitude in that interview when he was asked that question a few weeks ago about Mia and Leah. They still definitely have a good chance in Reno. Team has clawed back from a lost season to now back in the hunt for a 1st round bye for the conference tourney.

Idaho hasn't been the same since their leading scorer went down.

Trophy game?
