  1. http://www.undsports.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&SPID=6389&SPSID=58573&DB_OEM_ID=13500 Roster is up. I see Smith is no longer with the team. I also see Iowa will be coming up to the Betty on Nov 16th. Despite the losses of Mia, Kelsey, and Sam, they should be a solid team and content in the Big Sky. How those Sophomores emerge and grow (Strand, Klabo, Freiji, etc.) this season will be the key Schedule (as far as I know) Nov 11th Drake Nov 16th Iowa Dec 18th @ UNI Dec 29th PSU Dec 31st SAC ST Jan 5th @ NAU Jan 7th @ SUU Jan 12th MSU Jan 14th Montana Jan 19th @ Weber Jan 21st @ ISU Jan 26th SUU Jan 28th NAU Feb 4th @ UNC Feb 9th @ EWU Feb 11th @ Idaho Feb 16th ISU Feb 18th Weber Feb 25th UNC Mar 2nd @ SAC ST Mar 4th @ PSU TBD @ NDSU TBD USD
  2. Looks like UND is in the market for a new assistant coach http://riderangersride.com/news/2016/7/11/shawn-dirden-selected-to-lead-mens-basketball-program.aspx
  3. I enjoyed the extra intrigue of having the top 4 3rd place teams in the group advance. I didn't care to watch two teams in a group that have no shot of advancing, but if those 2 teams have a slim hope... sure I'm down to watch. Way better than Euro 2012. Portugal is fortunate for getting on the opposite draw and having Wales beat Belgium. If the Germans actually played to their world cup champion potential against France it would have been a different tale. With these major championship droughts ending at a fast pace, I might have to plunk a few dollars down on a Vikings winning the Super Bowl or Cubs winning the World Series ...
  4. It reminds me of the ending of War Games, where the computer learns about MAD. A strange game... the only winning move is not to play Because of the "dictatorial" decision by Gov. Schafer, President Kennedy can now play the winning move. This didn't need to drag on anymore and Kennedy didn't need to deal with this. Beside a vote would have cost more $$$$ and with how the nickname vote was handled, can you blame me for NOT wanting another? Agreed on the op-ed, came off as sour grapes. Loved the part where he complained about the spending... because fixing the Steam Plant and improving O'Kelly was wasteful..... Agreed. Budget, freshman retention, etc.
  5. Or when Jeanie finally rids herself of Jim and brings Phil back to LA. I'd settle for Phil Jackson court at the BESC.
  6. Portugal has consistently underachieved in soccer. Haven't made a World Cup Final and choked in a Euro final on their home soil against Cinderella Greece.
  7. When July 1 comes, here is what Kennedy will be dealing with Schafer was brought in to clean Kelley's messes. He has done so. If the wanted a caretaker interim the State Board would have just stuck UND with DiLorenzo. If DiLorenzo had to deal with the budget and logo.... ugh
  8. Awful all around. I hope he can get it all figured out soon.
  9. And after finding out that UNC has put out their schedule, we can put together UND's conference schedule. Up to date schedule so far Dec 10 @ Northern Iowa Dec 20 @ Iowa Dec 29 @ PSU Dec 31 @ SAC ST Jan 5 NAU Jan 7 SUU Jan 12 @ MSU Jan 14 @ Montana Jan 19 Weber Jan 21 ISU Jan 26 @ SUU Jan 28 @ NAU Feb 4 UNC Feb 9 EWU Feb 11 Idaho Feb 16 @ ISU Feb 18 @ Weber Feb 25 @ UNC Mar 2 SAC ST Mar 4 PSU TBD @ NDSU We get Montanas once on the road and Idaho/EWU once at home.
  10. This reminds me of the Jim Gaffigan joke on fruitcake. It doesn't make sense: Fruit good, cake great... fruitcake nasty crap.
  11. Since I want to avoid any and all logo conversation... I found some confirmed conference games to add to the schedule Dec 10 @ Northern Iowa Dec 20 @ Iowa Jan 12 @ Montana State Jan 14 @ Montana Only get Montanas once... and it is on the road.
  12. Just received this e-mail Dear Campus Community: The University will reveal the Fighting Hawks graphic identity Wednesday, June 22, 11 a.m. in the UND Athletics High Performance Center. The reveal is open to the campus community.
  13. Curious as to why he was suspended, then later kicked off Texas State's roster... if he is indeed the transfer.
  14. This isn't a surprise. Also not shocked its only going to be one either. So my two questions are the following: 1) Where will Vegas be put division wise in the west? I assume in the Pacific division but stranger things have happened. 2) How soon does NHL go to 32 and who? If Seattle had their ducks in a row they would no doubt have been the 2nd expansion team (Nanne on KFAN yesterday reiterated the NHL's desperation to get into Seattle), but how long can the NHL wait on them before looking at other markets. Portland? KC? Houston? I wouldn't think it would be a long wait between 31 and 32.
  15. Lets discuss something else: updated schedule Dec 10 @ Northern Iowa Dec 20 @ Iowa
  16. Predicting the lineup after the moves Hooker Geno Seales Drick Shanks Bench: Baldwin Avants SR-T Jafar Collins/Cashman/Walter (if he impressed enough to get his shirt pulled) I still think Shanks starts in the beginning but that is the one I am not as sure on vs the rest. I think Seales get in the lineup over Baldwin. Collins/Cashman is based on matchup and who can prove themselves. Out of the 2 incoming freshman, Walter has the best chance of playing right away in my eyes based on need and position... but it is still a small chance.
  17. So the scholarship breakdown by class should look like this correct? (without walk-ons included) SR: 2 JR: 5 SO: 4 FR: 2
  18. I just hope that we are done with the attrition. Despite that, the expectations of this season do not change.
  19. MSU admissions strikes again? LOL!
  20. Oh yeah, THAT idea I told that one to a prof on how we ended up with the name and used that acronym... he fell out of his chair laughing
  21. Sadly there was a lot of that thought on campus.
  22. I believe the old saying goes: You can put lipstick on a pig...
  23. I'm ready for this to be over with. A year and a half drama with the new name and logo is just tiring. This should have been done by this time last year... period
  24. They always could find a way to beat Minnesota and Wisconsin, but then would stub their toe against a Mankato, or a St. Cloud, or Syracuse. The one year they did make the NCAAs they barely made it... if Parizak doesn't bury an OT winner against BSU that year, they wouldn't have made it. I expect a move to be made next year...
