He's following Perez's start from last night, wigging out of danger and being shaky. At least this is bad Gibby and not god awful Gibby from his last start. He also had a good eye at the plate

I would have rather seen Duffey first, then Harper if Duffey had struggled. Or had thrown Dyson in the 7th and seen what he could have done. Yes, they need to figure out other pitchers in the pen outside of Rogers and Romo, but this wasn't the matchup for Harper to start the inning last night. Duffey and/or May is the key the rest of the way. Dyson had a good outing but want to see a couple of more before putting him in the box with Rogers and Romo. If one or both put it all together in August and September, they might have enough. Plus.... Thorpe is capable and there is the rumbling of potentially bringing up Graterol to help as well. Of course it could have been worse, they could have signed Kimbrel (Twins were wise to pass on him)

Romo slams the down Twins back in first Please let Good Gibby show up tomorrow
-
And Dyson comes in and shuts down the 2-3-4 hitters in quick fashion. Huh...
-
that was a NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. YES! by Eddie on that double
-
Harper against the heart of the Brewers lineup What could go wrong? Perez deserved better tonight.

I go with the philosophy of: If you have the winning run on and you need a pitch runner, you put your fastest person out there and figure it out later if it doesn't work. Not saying that Cave would have scored, but he would have made it at least a much closer play and given the rules now for catchers, that could have come into play. It is what it is and now they just need to regroup and feast on some cupcakes for the rest of the month.
-
It sucks but bounce back and move on to Milwaukee and Texas. Make some hay for the rest of the month. Get and stay healthy.
-
Better question: Why didn't they run Cave instead?
-
If staying in the BSC meant keeping WIH, would you still say that?* *not saying this was an option but there is still a part of me that thinks that if UND didn’t move, they would have cut other things and kept it.
-
My take: 1) NMSU 2) UNC solve the issue now, not 5 years down the line.

Unrelated to the A-Topic but Stumbled upon this as I was searching through the other Dakota message boards to get their thoughts on the Fort Wayne Move: https://www.news-leader.com/story/sports/college/msu/2019/08/01/missouri-state-university-football-program-future-budget-funding/1697784001/

Forgot about this: UND hosts Seattle for the WAC/Summit challenge Date TBD

THAT'S the Trevor May this team needs the rest of the way
-
If Wade didn't break his thumb he probably would be the one up instead of Cave. Guess they don't want Rooker up?

Hey Douple:
-
Rangers take down Cleveland Now can the 'pen shut this one down
-
Odo throw too many pitches after he gets the 2nd out. Looks like he is going to try and get 6 innings at least.

SCSU just got nailed by a judge for Title IX violations, so they aren't going to do it. MSU isn't going to do it either. If you can find a way to get St. Thomas to transition in 5 years, which would require the NCAA to ignore their own rules (which hey, they are Don Adams most of the time anyways). Get them. The BSC would do back-flips if that happened (or at least Griz fans would). I wouldn't mind that.

If they decide to do that.... Douple better be running to Lac Cruces.
