Where have you gone 2018 Kyle Gibson.... Rays up 4-0 now, so looking like it is going to be a 4.5 game lead

To me, as to why I haven't bought in: Fleck has left games on the table the first two years (Nebraska, Illinois, and Maryland last year for example), in which the Gopher record should be far better than it was. I never loved the year 0 comment he made the first year and hire at DC wasn't great (at least he owned it by bouncing him after the Illinois debacle...) Big deal that he beat Wisconsin? Absolutely! However that cannot be the highpoint of the career of PJ Fleck. They need to win at least 9 games this year with THAT schedule they have.

I think the guy he wanted won't play this year because of his foot in Annexstad, so they have go with Morgan. They could have fixed that.... but the guy they should have will play for you guys at Target Field on Saturday.

So the Twins are going to try and 2015 Royal this?

Odo backs up solid starts from Perez and Pineda with one of his own.

This is why I wanted them to roll the dice on bringing up Kirilloff. So do they tell Royce to pick up an outfielders glove in the offseason?

Buxton had a setback. uh oh

But but.... Frost will bring them back to glory!

Gators managed to take down the U in a sloppy affair yesterday. Im ready for some Holy War on Thursday and then Auburn/Oregon Saturday.

I'm ready for Saturday.

Perez had a good day pitching, yes it was against Detroit, however it was the 3rd start where had been solid. All signs appear to point towards Buxton coming back on Tuesday, which is ahead of schedule. Goal for the road trip: Try to go 7-3 and have a healthy lead before the showdown against Cleveland. I think the Tigers might take 1 or two games from them (Cleveland isn't going to go 18-1 against them this year, Detroit is due)

The players Unis are god awful, they need to be burned.
-
Did they get their inspiration from the Coneheads?

It is going to be interesting to see what the Twins do here: There could have 4 spots open (if they do not pick up Perez's option) in this rotation. I predict a trade, Smeltzer/Thorpe 5th spot battle, Perez gets bounced and 2 of the Pineda/Odo/Gibby get signed... but on shorter term deals. I just don't see any outside FA coming in unless they want to throw a lot of cash at Cole (HOU) and Mad Bum and see if it works. Oh and Berrios gets his $$$

He's really good and will be for a while. The White Sox aren't that far away from being a threat. I really think they can push for a playoff spot next year if they can add a few pieces. Both are going to be fun to watch. I think they are being cautious with Graterol because of his shoulder problems this year. Alcala was part of the Pressley deal, would love to start seeing some dividends from that deal to lessen the blow.

The thing with Gibby has always been consistency. When Big Mike is on the mound, we know what we are getting (6-7 innings of strike throwing and giving up 3-4 runs). He occasionally will have a clunker or spin a gem, but you are usually going to get that kind of outing. We don’t know from start to start what Gibby and that is the frustrating part. He can pitch a gem one night but then get cute with the strikezone and get hit around the next. If he had back up his nice season from last year with another one, that would have started to change the perception of him. He’s never was going to be an ace but we shouldn’t be talking about him on the outside looking in on a post-season pitching staff. What the Twins do with him, Odo, Pineda, and possibly Pérez will be interesting in the offseason. Right now the staff just needs to be good enough, and that could be just enough in this years version of postseason. The usual template is dominate pitching wins, this could be the year where just enough pitching wins.

Went with the Duff Man and Romo and got the job done in the 8th

UND, REA announce new long-term extension to usage agreement

It seems too specific to not line up with the turnover date. -
I’m not mad, just disappointed. Oh well, go roll off 4 straight wins again.

I think the minute he reclassified to 2020, he was thinking much bigger than low D1. He just got his offer much sooner. He still would have been nice to have though....
-
Gibby needed to bury that change up in the dirt and make him chase it. He got too predictable in that situation.

Twins should have challenged that play at the plate. I think they had a case of the catcher blocking the sliding lane before getting the ball.
