  1. Something bold is needed to shake this up. Give credit to Terry Ryan, in 2006, when the Batista/Castro left side of the infield experiment wasn't working. He cut Batista and send Castro packing in a 24 hour span and replaced them with Punto and Bartlett. We all know what happened next. The Boy Wonders have gone all in on an old trend offensively that has past its prime. It won't be long before the Pohlads go: You either make changes now or begin updating your resumes. The Central is begging to be won by someone who can string together a long winning streak. The Twins have enough decent starting pitching to make it interesting in the postseason, they just have to get there first.
  2. It might be time to turn it over to Tingler.
  3. Is it August yet?
  4. As you, I and others on the board have mentioned: While Omot has done well playing as an undersized 4, he would be far better suited in the 3 spot. To me, it makes sense to transition Brady to a 20-25 minute role off of the bench and sell him on the idea of: Go be an elite 6th man. While he doesn't have the abrasive personality to fill this role, but filling that "pest" role off of the bench, where he hits corner 3s, take charges, hustles all the time.
  5. San Diego State to MWC: We dippin' Here we go.
  6. I'm fully conviced that the NCAA has a secret plinko board and they write the athletes name on a plinko chip, drop it, and go with whatever slot in falls in.
  7. Your guess is as good as mine. It is the NCAA after all.
  8. I hope they do Maybe they can strike lightning in a bottle. So If I had to guess starters and rotation (assume Ihenacho is a go here) Starters: King, Eaglestaff, Omot, Mayar, T Bench: Ihenacho, Brooks, Brady, Amar, Mathews That to me is a solid 10 man rotation.
  9. If this person could mean the difference to a Summit League Championship... you go for it. In all seriousness: I'd feel better with a eligible Ihenacho with the ball handing, which would free up UND to add one more necessary piece. I happy to have these conversations verses the conversations we have been having the last two offseasons.
  10. The best news right now, other than the schedule coming out, would be that the NCAA says: Ihenacho can play right away next year. I also hope we know who is going to fill that last scholarship (I am sure some of that is tied to the uncertaintly of Ihenacho, but at some point... they need to bring someone in that could potentially help next year)
  11. They all played FB for North Dakota.
  12. I'm not worried. The team will be fine and will compete for a top spot in the Summit.
  13. Wentz: I'd take him as a backup for the Vikings for a year.
  14. The Niners need to chose correctly on this quarterback situation: It is the difference between a dynasty or everyone getting fired.
  15. The MVCs bread and butter is basketball. Murray State has been one of the most dominant teams in the Ohio Valley Conference in basketball, so it made sense from that aspect to add them. UST has amazing potential, however at this point it is potential right now. Murray State is the more proven product right now. Could this change in 2-3 years? Yes.
  16. It would but I am sure there are ways around it.
  17. It goes back to something that has, quite honestly, lingered with the Twins for many years. They are late to the party when it comes to the trends in baseball and they overstay their welcome on old trends when the rest of the league starts to pivot to something else. The 3 outcome approach is dead. There is a place for analytics in baseball yes, but there needs to be a place for the basic fundamentals of baseball. The Twins have swung from one extreme to another and need to find a way to hit the middle.
  18. At a certain point, this team needs some shock therapy. DFA players, fire coaches Do SOMETHING!
  19. Yeah, got to slow build this one.
  20. Only if Bryson DeChambeau comes out with a steel chair to hit Brooks Koepka in the back.
  21. https://www.outkick.com/colorado-arizona-big-12-pac-12-move-report/ chaos ready to start up again???
  22. I might be misquoting or not accurately giving credit here but. The Traditional Circle of Sticks! - Dan Hammer
