Whine for nine???

So, now that the Skate for Eight is over, what phrase are we going to use for number Nine? I was thinking about this the other day, but I'm not clever enough to come up with anything good. Suggestions?

I'm not much for change. I think we should stick with what we got going right now. The NCHC is the strongest conference in hockey. Sure we get exposure from Arizona and other larger schools who "might" add hockey. But I don't want a watered down conference. If we add Arizona and Mankato or whoever out west, then our overall pairwise just dropped. I like knowing that UND can win a championship and make it to the Frozen Four practically every year while going through the toughest conference. Not like some teams from weaker conferences who just happen to back their way into a championship.

I like midco too much to leave. Sure it's a little more spendy, but I get to see the Sioux play and the Internet is really fast.

Anyone know if MidcoSN is on DirectTV? My father in law said he was switching to DirectTV because it's cheaper and the guy at AT&T told him he can still get und hockey games. I think the guy at AT&T is wrong, but maybe I am. Anyone know for sure?

I still believe there is some kind of conspiracy behind this whole nickname deal. From the get go they stated most Native American names get switched to a bird name. They had just North Dakota on the list saying it's a possibility. Everyone was excited about keeping just ND. Kelley dashed their hopes. But Nodaks was still on the list, which yes it's boring, but closest thing to not choosing a new name. Everyone seemed to be behind that name. The hockey crowd was really supporting it, from Berry, to the players, to the students at the hockey games having a giant Nodak Nation flag. Seemed like everyone was going to choose Nodaks. Then that was eliminated by the vote. Which seemed odd. Now, take this with a grain of salt, but just a thought. I feel like Kelley made a compromise being he got a new name, the Hawks, but to make everyone happy we'll throw Fighting in front of it. It's just an idea. But it kinda makes you wonder.
