I am quickly getting the idea that the only ticket that is hard to get are UND home games.

Second that one. Mapquest, for what it's worth, has GF to Fort Wayne taking 14:30 hours and GF to Missoula 15 hours. It is a little further to Missoula than Ft. Wayne. I think with having to deal with the drive between Madison and Ft. Wayne around Chicago would suck. It took me 16 hours to drive from Idaho Falls to GF in January and it would take at least an hour less to Missoula than that run did. I also thnk it would or could take at least another 2 hours to get to Ft. Wayne because of traffic. Nice casual kicked back drive to Missoula and pain in the butt drive all the way from St. Cloud to Ft. Wayne.

I agree with you that Hak would not do that. Plus he does not have to. It pays for no one to do it. I poach your guy you poach mine. Who wins then?

82SG aren't all these teams a lot smaller than the football and hockey teams? Second thought scrap that thought since some of these teams would be as big as the hockey team. Somebody has to know how everyone travels around. Baseball and golf both go south in the winter to play. Golf team small enough to fit on an RJ-200 but the baseball team must go on a long bus ride though. The rest maybe flies sometimes but they do have a real sweet bus or two to travel in. I remember the hockey team having issues flying to Mich Tech on the Saab-340s. Couldn't hold the team and stuff at the same time.

Why am I thinking the Penticton team use to be called the Knights when Ian Kidd played there?

You guys talking about tickets makes me curious as to how hard is it to get tickets at other schools? Can't be near as hard as at UND. I know alot of you have traveled to these away games and I was wondering if you ever had a hard time getting tickets. Another thing. How are ticket prices compared to UND? Stories about getting tickets, sitting, fan behaviors, etc. would be nice to hear also.

Don't they usually fly to games anyhow? From what little I know about this stuff, which is not a lot, NMSU seems to be out of their league playing a FBS schedule.

You were seeing more of the cream of the crop. I would almost say from my experiance a third of the students at UND would not know how wrong forging signatures is.

The reason I think they didn't is from experiance over the last 10 years with college kids. I think if you were in a classroom at UND today you would shake your head a lot in wonderment as to how did they get this far in life.

The one qoute about not doing anything tll after the season I think will come back and bite them in the butt yet. Serious NCAA violations occured here and even if they do win this year the NCAA could say they played ineligible players and erase he record books like that (hear finger snapping).

All of these are legit points. I still don't think these kids really understood the ramifications though. They just thought they were scamming their employer. But they should be punished for what they did harshly. There is no way to defend their actions considering, as many here have pointed out so well, have affected all the citizens of North Dakota with their selfish actions. They should be kicked off the team and scholarships revoked. And yes if it had been hockey players I really do not think anyone here would defend them like NDSU has defended their players.

I guess you forgot that Duluth won the 2011 D1 national championship while NDSU won a minor league championship. Major league championship or minor league championship which one would most people rather win? This would be like fans being happy not to make March Madness and playing the NIT instead. Winning the NIT is like saying "We're 67th best in the country lets celebrate".
