Honestly there were red flags against Valpo that we should have all noticed. The defense should have had tons of sacks and tfl and just plain pressure. I know they ran vanilla stuff but still, man to man we should have obliterated them and we didn't. The defense hopefully is starting to wake up. I feel like we've been waiting for them to show up since Dan Hendrickson graduated. It's time.

Stetcher Schamltz and Mattson would probably all be pretty good assuming their offensive skill would translate

Hardin developed pretty well as have Jackson and Golladay. Dan Hendrickson developed pretty well. Look at the difference in Marcus Hendrickson from his soph to senior year. Ross Brennamen Jay Nelson Dyo Idowu Alex Hickle Goodman and Bennett have all been transformed physically at UND. I'm not saying the development shouldn't be better but it's not like guys come here and don't get better. Just wait a couple years and we'll have a veteran team and we'll see how the core of this team was developed. There are plenty of underclass men like Rich and Labbat that have put on some good weight so they're at the very least being developed by the strength staff. If we saw those guys on the field more we'd be able to gauge how they've developed football wise.

His being an ex full back means nothing. He was an athlete before during and after he was a fullback. He was probably the fastest fullback I've ever seen. It seemed pretty obvious that he could be a monster feature back.

And why would that matter. He was an athlete.

The underwater treadmill is a bit outdated. Time to upgrade.

Every time I saw UND tie a hockey game all I could think about was how awesome we would be at a shootout. Think about the shootout lineup we would have had in 2007.

The shootout will be a great way for Rocco to get his groove back for just getting the puck past the goaltender.

Against EWU we need to have similar offensive balance to what we had last weekend. 27 passes to 36 rushes is about right considering the amount of short poor drives in the second half. If we're around 50/50 without turnovers the offense can be very effective.

Cheatom has been seeing more time at DE than NT. He's in there a lot in jumbo and passing packages. Finley hurt his shoulder pretty bad against MSU. Idowu has improved a lot and finally looks more like a LB. I really want to see Rich in there to see what he can do since he was so highly touted and looks the part.

He does play the most important position on the defense though. Stanchek improved the DL when he came back. Now Cummings either needs to do something or step aside.

It took a lot for ndsu to realize they needed to bring in at least 1 qb every year. Maybe we will now too.

Both looked legit coming in. Demler had health issues his first year and left. Comes seemed like he'd be the guy but it obviously didn't work out. Neither left because of the coaches or because they sucked or were bad people.

The edge Hensen holds is that he's really smart and knows the system really well. Snacks is just better though.

Chyzyk better stay in the lineup. He's so much better than Mitch and Odonnel it's not even funny. He's probably a lot more hungry too after last year. Rodwell Gaarder and Pattyn would be a gritty line. Tough as hell to play against too.
