It's like the Adrian Peterson thing from a few years ago. If you know the guy has butterfingers you go at the ball even more than normal, sometimes tackling the ball instead of the man. It can confound a fumbling situation.

We were 18 pt favorites last weekend and look what happened. Throw in the fact that we offer scholarships and this is a rivalry game and the spread becomes meaningless.

No individual will get 1000. I bet we rush for 2000 as a team though.

We did FCOA before they did. We were very proactive with it. It started with hockey obviously but they aren't doing it for football this year so I don't think we exactly followed them.

Drake is a non scholarship program from a non scholarship league. They're about as good as the non scholarships programs go. They have a very veteran team, something like 19 senior starters. We were not good against them. The D was dominant but got shaky at the end, they were 0-13 on 3rd at one point and finished 3-17 i think. Our offense was not very good, the OL in particular sucked really bad. There were no holes for our RBs and shaky pass pro. It was a classic trap game and we barley avoided it. I'm not going to consider this past game as a microcosm of this team, it was an anomaly.

We're two spots outside of the top 25 this week. I'd say that's appropriate and the perfect motivator for the team.

The end of the game gaffe was cause by the offense, not the defense. If we can manage a couple first downs then Drake goes away quietly. Instead, we couldn't move the ball on the ground and they, hopefully, scared a little life and desperation into our young team. As a side note, I'm happy that we had this result and NDSU dominated Weber. We're coming in hungry and humble and they're coming in fat and happy after restoring order.

Sorry to you people who saw a "Mussman team" out there but I didn't. They tackled and played defense. Drake was 0-13 on third down at one point, a hallmark of a Mussman team was being horrible on third down and not being able to get off the field. Let's stop with the Mussman team comments just because the game wasn't fun to watch.
