The Fighting Sioux nickname was once a beautiful thing (minus the geo logo, although we did win a ton with it) but it has been tarnished big time. That is why it's time to move on.

There's a fine line between boring and clean. Til I see them I'm just going to assume they're clean since the players love the way they look.

Our unit is far superior but Delucca will be one of the best LBs in the nation. I will be shocked if he doesn't play on Sunday's. I'm not sure he's as fast as Rattelle but he is huge and has outstanding coverage skills. The rest of them are unproven which is why ours should be rated as better right now.

So how do you ndsu folks feel about your kicking game?

It offends homeless people who need to beg for nickles while we play a game for one.

Just look at NDSU and their senior class. It's almost nonexistent.

It's not a UND logo. It's a replica of official US currency. It's like saying the Sacagawea gold coins are offensive.

Our LBs are going to be special this year. We're gonna be big athletic and most importantly deep. Our DL is still missing a true two gap big sob at nose. To me Hinojosa is more of a DE in our d. Still we return some talented guys. I'm worried about our FS position and other corner opposite of Harris. If our secondary improves the defense will be outstanding. I just hope the offense can help them out enough.

Once we get a full squad on offense of the type of guys we need there will be a balanced power o that will soften up the d a lot like ndsu does and then gash them over the top. I honestly can't predict anything at the RB position or the WR position. There are just too many questions. We need the passing game to step up to take pressure off of the run game. We also need RBs to step up who have never played for UND before. I'm not as worried about the hogs and the TE position will be a secret strength of the team. And at the end of the day it really comes down to a qb stepping up to the plate. Long story short, nobody can predict much of anything with the offense as of now.

What are your thoughts on the NDSU defense? Obviously there are massive shoes to fill, but what's your level of comfort with the guys you have filling them?

Does anyone know if the Shrine Bowl will be on midco again this year?
