We had every excuse to be 2-10 last season. Instead we beat a ranked team and were a tough team to play with the exception of San Jose St, Missouri St, and EWU.

When you think about the state of our team at the time of that game it's damn impressive regardless of your opinion of ranking systems.

And yea, we ruined their season. It's a nice feather in the cap of a really good UND team.

The Valley looked good before NDSU was in it. So no, it doesn't.

This is a huge loss. Athletes like him don't come out of ND every year. We need as many ND kids as possible. They develop better and are more reliable than kids from elsewhere.

Does #5 UNI count? At UNI? Where you guys took damn near a decade to get your first win? Took us one try.

I believe SUU was ranked 17 when we beat them in 2011, one the road.

It's also a good way to keep the players humble, they're already given enough.

Their toughest opponent on sept 19 won't be UND, it will be their own fans. A little mistake here and there will snowball with pressure and unproven players will crack.

I'd rather play you guys in the fargo dome twice in a row. It's an opportunity to really taint the immortal reputation of NDSU football. Plus playing in Fargo means the team will be tight because of the pressure. Any positive play by UND and the NDSU faithful will start getting tense and the players will feel it.
