I've had this conversation with people before. It's a distinct advantage. Throw fighting in front of any word and it conjures up the thought of paying homage to our beloved fighting sioux. Too bad fighting rough riders is just too damn long....

Bottom line, if you have a vote use it. Apathy is not what comes to mind when I think of UND.

It's time for this team to deliver. Finishing 7-4 would be a great sign that things are headed in the right direction and quicker than most expected. If we do finish 7-4 I'm sure I won't be alone in lamenting how close we were to being 9-2... that would have been ridiculous. Making the playoffs would be incredible given where we were two seasons ago. Let's support the hell out of this team on Saturday and give them any advantage we can. This is where we help bring the football program back to legitimacy.

Can't go from Fighting Sioux, a one of a kind nickname with a beautiful logo to Fighting Hawks. We can join the large PC nickname fraternity and become what the NCAA and Kelley wanted or we can do something different and absolutly not what Kelley or the NCAA had in mind.

Considering we had Idaho St and Weber wins on ice in the 4th the NDSU game has not hurt us. It probably helped us. We should've closed those games out and we'd be in damn good shape.

Not at all. They basically handed that game to UNC with some weird TOs. They were the better team. They rebounded nicely after we beat then so I expect the same.

1. I hope this means Wisonsin will be improved this season. I like college hockey more when Wisconsin is good. 2. This will end up being a good thing. It's a nice early season wake up call for the team. A little something to keep them grounded and to let them know that there's a good opponent every night regardless of record.
