Against Weber it was not the defense that handed them the ball deep in our territory, it was Bartels with one of the worst INTs I've ever seen and a fumble that should not have happened. What you failed to see was that with Bartels the offense did nothing in the fourth quarter. They sustain one drive in each of those fourth quarters and we win both. Unfortunately because of how bad Bartels was the defense stacked the box and dared us to throw, we couldn't, we lost. The defense was bad but Bartels was worse.

In no way was Batels good enough to win either game. He was terrible in every game he's played. He was a total liability.

Mussman > Jones Geno Seals and Hooker have nice talent though. Perhaps they can win despite their coach. Tough to win when you can't shoot free throws or grab boards. Neither takes talent.

There's always a breaking of the freshman that occurs during the first year or two. Some years are worse than others. Once they get to winter weights with the vets it gets real and they grow up quick.

I know quite a few current football players quite well, they're great guys and humble for the most part. I can't speak for the youngest players, who are obviously the most likely to be dicks because they haven't been humbled yet, but I know for a fact that the older guys are more than likable.

The Drake game didn't help either. There was a great student section for that game and the second half left a lot to be desired. Next season I anticipate a much stronger and more durable student section.
