Quality of a degree has nothing to do with quality of a person or how creative and successful they'll be in their field. It's just a fact that UND isn't an academic powerhouse.
Let's not kid ourselves, UND is one of the easiest schools to get into and not every program is good. In fact, some really blow. There are some strengths but we're not on the B1G level at all.
I think Haas could end up being the steal of this class. Tall rangy and quick with great cover and ball skills plus he can hit. I'm excited to watch him develop.
Bubba loaded up on DL because we he got here we didn't have much for quality DL. After that he loaded up on LBs. Now he's loading up the secondary. Seems really obvious to build in the trenches first and then move your way to LBs then DBs but others don't seem to get it. Bubba gets it.
Anyone notice the surprises today? Yeah me neither. I remember always being on pins and needles on this day with Mussman because it always seemed like 3-4 guys never showed up. Bubba Maurice and crew have it figured out and guys are buying in.
Nguon was just called "my dark horse" by Maurice. It sounds like we offered very late, probably as a result of Grady leaving, and ended up with a possible hidden gem. Cool story in that his dad is from Cambodia.
Good. The other two finalists were playing JV compared to SME. I'm still not sure how Phoenix made the final three. It was kind of cool that Summit stopped by here for input but I never felt like they would be selected for some reason. I hope SME proves me right, I liked them from the beginning.
I think Bolinski should be fine at qb. I don't recall any of us doing backflips when Studs signed or even to begin this year. I and many others didn't appreciate him until he was injured.
