  1. In a more normal year for DL depth, I've heard at least a couple of them would have been playing right away.
  2. Verbal #11 DE/TE - Ryan Schoenfelderl - 6'5" 215 Goodhue, MN - Goodhue HS https://www.hudl.com/profile/4108705/ryan-schoenfelder
  3. Welcome Ryan. Great football name! Anyone know anything about this kid? I hope he’s coming in as a DL. If so we don’t need any more in this class.
  4. I don’t care where the players come from so long as they are good enough, fit the culture of the program, and stay around. Wisconsin and Illinois are great areas since they’re close and have loads of really good players. I’ve said before that I wouldn’t mind establishing a pipeline to Florida or California but we haven’t had great luck with those areas in the past.
  5. Grady played 9 man and was our best OL as a true fr. We've had many before him who were really good players. NDSU has had a ton of success with 9 man players. It's not a kids fault if they are from a small town. They come in with more untapped potential than basically any other recruits. How many guys do we currently have on the roster that even played 9 man? Maybe 3? Finding 9 man diamonds in the rough is an asset to all programs. There are guys in the NFL who played at that level. I don't care where they come from or what level they played at, if they can play, they can play. Attrition is the issue right now. We've lost so many promising players at LB, OL, and in the secondary and it shows in our lack of depth. Our recruitment of QBs has been questionable to this point. We need to bring in one a year on scholarship.
  6. I guarantee Wilson and Bennett would be more effective if they were 250. Not unreasonable to ask of soph DEs.
  7. Somebodies got to do it
  8. At times last year Cieslak was dominant. Tanks job isn’t to get stats, it’s to eat blocks. Also, if you’re gonna compare stats you need to look at how many more snaps the defense is getting since they cant get off the field well.
  9. Just based on his football and basketball film I think Siegel has a little something that most don’t. I think he’s a steal.

  11. You didn’t block him on Grindr did you? Or are you more of a Scruff guy?
  12. Opposing teams should have a nightmare scenario to prepare for with what we have in the backfield. Yet have we ever seen Olivera and Santiago on the field at the same time? You could even add JJ in there. There should be new wrinkles every game. Instead we smash two of the best rbs in program history straight ahead against 7, 8, sometimes 9 in the box.
  13. He looks like a baller to me.
  14. They certainly weren’t 4 underclassmen. And yet we haven’t seen a RB slip screen.
  15. All he had to do was run the damn ball with Brady and we most likely win that game. I used to try and defend Rudolph because he was trying to win with inferior talent at wr in the beginning and was trying to protect the defense but after 4 years it’s pretty clear he’s got to go.
  16. That game is just as on him as it is the special teams. That one play call was inexcusable. And it cost us. There have been plays like that over and over and over during his tenure that have left people questioning what the hell he was thinking. That and the lack of matchup exploitation are why we need a different OC. We are not ever close to getting what we can out of our offense this season. Same with last season.
  17. We could use Kotelnicki level special teams.
  18. Yea, Olympians.
  19. I stopped reading once this crossed my eyes, "A committee looking at the UND athletic program recommended keeping women's hockey. He ended the program anyway — on a day when a promising recruit was visiting campus."
  20. We were up 24-7. If the offense would have put together a single drive we win that game. Instead, we double reversed our way out of field goal range. Kinda like that 3rd and 10 draw play in our 2 min offense.
  21. We started out well. The majority of the second half was a disaster. UND 3rd H46 08:12 Punt V36 04:46 Punt 7-18 3:26 UND 3rd H19 00:15 Kickoff H35 12:55 Punt 4-16 2:20 UND 4th H27 10:20 Kickoff H32 09:22 Punt 3-5 0:58 UND 4th H17 05:18 Kickoff H38 03:00 Punt 5-21 2:18
  22. Me too. The numbers don't lie.
  23. To be fair we had a really young team that year. Just about as young as our current 2 deep. NDSU does have a pretty big team though too so the comparison made it look even worse.
  24. Our current 2 deep doesn't exactly pass it
  25. If you're talking the RFR OL Mortel has put on 40lbs already. The older guys seem to have decent size, all around or over 300. I don't know if their lack of push in technique or strength. Toivonen, Mercer, and Stanley are all pretty big WRs. Wanzek put on 20 lbs and still looks skinny as hell. He'll probably put on another 30 before he's done here. Izzy, tr fr.
