My point is that Blubough looks putrid out there right now but I'm not going to judge him until he gets more experience and is put in a position to succeed like Hunt was last year. If he looks like this at the end of next year and the rest of the defense is fixed then he should switch positions, til then I'm willing to be patient with him even though it's hard to watch.

It's a failure from every angle this year. Things need to change.

True fr Greeley and Dranka played a ton that year. Our LBs were about 10,000X better than this year. We were pretty good at LB from Mussman oddly enough. Rattelle Rich Labat OBrien Idowu Reineke and Peters were a pretty stout group.

Harris had RSFR Reyes and Senior Baylee Carr. Harris also didn't start a single game as a true fr. He was a sieve as a soph. All American as a Junior.

I would bet Haas will improve against the run with more experience and another 20lbs. 220 at 6'5" is still pretty skinny.

Aren't Murray and Murray seniors? You have Rodgers at OLB? Haas at DE?

It hasn't been one bad year. Even last season we were exposed through the air. The ints can't be counted on in that number. Just look at the Richmond game. We had an NFL WR 1v1 with our CBs. That's not advantageous for us.

Makes me wonder, are we capable of running our style of 3-4 at his level? In D2 we had the horses compared to other teams. Right now we don't. Even last year we had to rely on 22 turnovers forced to be a good defense, not even a great one. I like the 3-4 but maybe we should think about a Tampa 2 variation? I just don't think leaving CBs on an island for the entire game is sustainable.
