There was plenty of passing and actual excitement for a spring game, at least in the one I went to.

I’m talking about around 2010. Before their big run happened and they were trying to build things up.

They used to do a good spring game. An actual game at an actual stadium. Since they've been playing 15 games a year their spring season isn't as important for getting reps as it is for healing so they've dialed it down a bit.

They also get way more state money and investment from community companies.

The “Spring Game” setup is a joke. You don’t learn much of anything from a scrimmage. Make it a real game on a real field and we can see sho actually has that it factor when the bullets start flying. It would also be more entertaining for fans and recruits. You can still show the recruits the HPC before the game which is great but it’s not a game venue. Go live for real with a bunch of young guys and see what they’ve got. That’s what the spring game is for, it’s a showcase of the future.

Apparently he’s got a little more burst than you’d think. Give him a full summer of running and he should be ok. He’s definitely faster than Toivonen.

I got an inside scoop that all plays are scripted today. There will be 60 plays from scrimmage, all of them screen passes. After the 60 plays Rudy will drop his clip board like a mic and walk off the field giving the fans a two bird solute. During the season we will run zero screens because he “used them up” during the spring scrimmage.

Or tell the rich pansies to enjoy the game and stand too.

The student section sucks. They aren’t creative at all. They mostly just go through the motions and wait for a goal.

UND at memorial in the dead of winter.

We need upper class depth to finally get established across the board so the young guys can take the time to build their bodies up and be ready. Then only the young guys who are ready right away will play instead of throwing someone out there who needed to redshirt.

We beat out SDSU on the guy. He had a shoulder that never let him get it going. It was unfortunate but you can’t blame the coaches for recruiting him because his film was outstanding.

He can redshirt this year at least.
