He’s been out there a bit. We open a couple of time last game. I just want to see what he can do because most of our WRs have proven to not be dynamic.
I don’t have bison garbage to wear. If I had gear of Charleston Southern I would’ve worn it that day. My UND gear let’s them know I’m cheering for the opposition and that my IQ is likely one standard deviation higher.
Idk if he’s got what I’m looking for in the slot. I think Greibel has some shake to him which Cam and Izzy don’t. He’s blazing fast though. I want to see him get in the open field and open it up cause I don’t think many of any could track him down.
I wore a UND shirt when I was invited to the Charleston Southern game in Fargo and there were a couple of tense moments in the tailgate area. Luckily I was in good company which always helps. It’s about as bad as when someone wears gopher gear at the Engelstad.
Our curse in the playoffs was that we would get a ton of penalties and BC would skate circles around our defense. We were late to adjust with the evolution of hockey. The 2016 team was a nice hybrid. Same with 2010.
We don’t get guys like Toews is the old Ralph.
Fwiw, I don’t think football has the right coach to put them over the top right now. He improved things but I don’t think he’s got the it factor to take things where we all want them to go.
For some reason when NDSU moved up to D1 they understood that they needed all new offices and locker rooms and other internal football facilities. The football team has only upgraded the lockers in the locker room since the move up. They need a larger coach salary pool and new facilities desperately. It’s not a good look when recruits visit both school in the same weekend and our coaches have to be creative to hide the warts while down south they get to beat their chest about everything. To think that doesn’t affect culture and the type of player we can get on average would be naive.
To argue that the hockey program hasn’t been taken to a new level after 2001 would be pure unadulterated bull$%!#. There is a direct correlation, I would argue causation, between program budget and facilities and success.
