The auction is live here and you can see all of the nicknames. https://my.onecause.com/event/organizations/77c1bd60-1557-4b05-b438-fe662ca5eeb1/events/vevt:b08a1345-5dbf-44b9-aa57-8cabf010942e/auctions/silent-auction

They wore special warmup jerseys that had their childhood nicknames on the back for “kids takeover night”. They will be auctioned off. Most were like this and very straightforward. Kernan’s was my favorite. First big hit of the night…#15 “Boom Boom”’. 🤣

Same in Schloss’ article today. Basically he is a little banged up and unfortunately plays through a lot of pain even on a good day. He probably could have played, but they want to do their best to have him available and feeling as good as possible for the stretch run.
-
And queue the shenanigans in 3…2…1

I hate UMD. I hate letting a guy named Zam score 3 goals in a weekend even more.
-
The color commentary is ridiculous with penalties
-
That was my guess too but flip it to something else or pause the internal feed. There has to be some solution since it is a stop in play.

Kleven would have gotten a 5 minute major for receiving that many cross checks to the head.

Per ChatGPT. Not sure it is 100% reliable but I’m not diving into the rule book over this. 📺 What the rules don’t specify The NCAA rules do not prohibit broadcast TV networks from showing certain camera angles during live coverage or during replays. There’s no NCAA rule saying broadcasters have to show exactly the same angles officials see or that some angles must be hidden from viewers.
-
Why can’t they show certain or any camera angles? The only rule I’m aware of is not showing replays IN THE ARENA during a review.
-
They must have had a view we didn’t see on tv. I’m 85% sure it was offside from what they showed but none of the views were definitive. To me definitive is clearly seeing white between the puck and the blue line. No way you saw that on those views. They did mention a hidden overhead view we didn’t get to see however.

My question is which NCHC team would you rather swap our season with up to this point? Denver went into our series on a four game losing streak (and lost to Lindenwood early in the year), UMD entered this one on a four game losing streak, Western started slow and lost to Miami yesterday. With all of the transfers and freshman playing critical roles, I would have never imagined we would be in this place especially after the last few years. I’d love a 1 seed but this team can be incredibly dangerous come tourney time no matter where they are seeded. And not only offensively, we have a goalie that could go on a run and steal a close game or two if needed.

His sources were 100% correct in the coaching search, assistant/GM hires, players leaving/staying, etc. I’d recommend giving him the benefit of the doubt.
-
Yes, my feed switched too

The other huge callout has to be their response to giving up leads. We scored quick response goals at least twice tonight after getting punched in the mouth. Nice to be on that side of it for a change.
-
Anyone know the history of “Hey! Baby” being their goal song? Don’t get that or the closer walkout song to kick off their pp.
-
In today’s college hockey it is. I’m not saying I want the game called that way but I don’t make the rules.
-
ASU player put himself into a vulnerable spot but that is a 5 and a DQ all day long.
-
DU, UMD, BC, BU, Wisconsin, and the Goofs all lose tonight.
-
Only three NCHC tilts tonight but all three shutouts and none of them close. I can’t imagine that happens very often. St. Cloud puts up 6 against UMD, UND puts up 5 against DU, and Miami puts up 3 against UNO. UMD and DU shut out on the same night and Miami wins an NCHC game. 2026 is coming out strong.

Simon’s audibles have been right on. Pushed it outside with success.
-
If player safety is a thing and incompetent refs continue to be a thing…then this rule must change.
-
Why didn’t UND challenge for targeting?

I would add Western Michigan to the pretty excited list. Even the years they rode the struggle bus, they played an up-and-down, hard hitting style that is fun to watch. I’ll gladly watch 1,000 WMU match-ups before subjecting myself to another Bemidji game just due to style of play.
