New D2 football board is up. Looks like they really spruced up the place.

Ok, took a while for the research to come in, but according to my sources, NDSU doesn't even have a Club hockey team. You guys used to have one and was looking to go Div 1 with it, but the WCHA teams wasn't going to let some upstart team into their league. And, according to my source, the NDSU club team soon disbanded after that. GVSU does have a club team, and has played against some of the CCHA teams. If GVSU does get around to talking it to the next level, D1-AA, the hockey team would probably be added as a varsity team for the university. And most likely look to join the CHA, not the CCHA. Michigan is a pretty good place to find hockey players, not to mention we also share a border with Canada. They are aready invading us already man, with their Canadian quarters and better beer. I guess this tread started out as an April Fool's gag. You should have heard the flack I got on GVfootball for suggesting that LSSU was going to revive their dead football team just so that we could finally fill in our open date that we are still hopefully trying to fill. Get a better sence of humor man.

Oh come on now man, you know dang well that there is too much hate and rivalry between UND and NDSU to not eventually have a game later on in the future. Bison fans still showing up here when they are D1-AA is pretty much proof of that. The whole fundraiser idea is a nice thought for it, but just wouldn't feel right at all for anybody I think. Too many wars have been fought for it to have it switch hands like that. Maybe some sort of a smaller trophy for that. Perhaps a penny

I'm guessing for you, with the NorthStars moving down there to Texas and all, the question of whom to root for with Colorado-Dallas is a question of which is the lesser evil. You know, if it wasn't for the fact that its F-ing Colorado, I could actually come up with a pretty good arguement that you should cheer for the Avs based that they moved because of economics, while the Stars moved because of owner greed. However, I'm not going to do that, because they are F-ing Colorado!! Go Wings!!

as long as you're not in the Lansing Area, or south of Toledo, you can find plenty of people outside of Ann Arbor that like UMich. You just might get a few blank stares if you mention "Hockey Team".

My pick for the Stanley Cup series?? Detroit versus Toronto. An Orginal Six matchup, with a Canadian team in the mix. Would be very good for the game to have an exciting matchup like that after the whole Bertuzzi deal and right before they try to hammer out that CBA.

I just don't really see the appeal to doing that in college football, unless you're a GNAC member and its to cut down on travel expencises. Besides, the only time a team should meet twice in season is when they play again in the playoffs.

Big Whoopee-Freaken Dooey!! Its Central Washington! They don't exactly come from a powerhouse conferance. In fact, the GNAC isn't even recognized by the NCAA as a conferance because its only four teams. When was the last time any team from the GNAC has even made the playoffs??

I think you forgot the choice of *anybody but those GD dirty Goofers!!!* As for me, hell, I guess I'll admit to it that I voted for Michigan. But hey, I did grow up a half hour away from A2. I didn't have them winning the next round in the brackets, but oh well. I think that I can speak for everybody when I say that they are all screwed up now!

Eh, what can I say about Yooper? He's just a breed apart. It is said that God make alcohol to keep the Irish and Scots from taking over the world. It doesn't mean that they still won't raise hell every know and then, but that's managable. I for one, would also include them Yoopers in with the Irish and Scots. In other news, it seems that D2 is having some problems today. Hope they fix that problem soon.
