You forgot about having them bale some hay, perhaps the single most greatest conditioning activity one can do, plus, earn a little cash on the side. They be out in the field, having that hot sun beating down on them, stacking hay onto a wagon, or up in one of those old barns that are just a sauna in there stacking hay.

That is an interesting question there nodakvindy. You do have to remember that GVSU only got started about 40 years ago, as we like to say, by a bunch of stoned hippies out in a corn field. There really hasn't been that of a push to add Hockey to our lists of varsity sports. We do have a Hockey club here, but as you all know, its the money involved in the day to day operations of a hockey team. That's the biggest hurdle to GVSU getting hockey. There is an ice skating arena thats been going up near campus, and rumor has it that the club might be moving in there to play their games. But I still think its going to take a big push by an deep pocket alumni, or a large group of them, to get the club to being a varsity sport. Then of course, we also have to worry about title IX regs. Thats what keeping hockey from GVSU as of the moment.

My picks 1. GVSU, 2. UND, 3. SVSU(Saggy), 4. Winona State, 5. UNO, and 6. a thrid ranked GLIAC. With byes, GVSU and UND, so the first round games would be likely Saggy-UNO and Winona State against the other GLIAC team. Lets say Saggy wins their game and so does Winona. Now, they are unlikely to put two GLIAC teams together before they have to, so GV would get Winona, and Saggy gets to go play in that dome you UND types seem to talk so highly about. GV beats Winona and I'll give UND the edge because they'll be at home. So then GVSU will get UND at Lubbers for the regional title game. IMHO, GVSU wins that game. Trouble has been stirred now I hope.

It doesn't make that much sence for a player to transfer this late in his career to another school, *a hated rival no less*, where he has to learn how to play in another system; when he's pretty much the focal point of the system where he's at, and a not too shabby of a system. It gave me a few heart papulations. My guess on this rumor would be somebody that Digger made his Bey-tch!! in a game. That would leave plenty of suspects throught the NCC.

Hell, given the fact that I put that little jab towards them at the end of the post, but none of them went at it, they might as well not I guess. Sutter should have left Commandore in. The kid played his heart out, and did nothing to warrent not dressing other than the other guy got healthy enough to play. I think Sutter outthunk himself with that move. I was pulling for Calgary, because the Cup should stay north of the 40 parallel, but its was nice to see that old dinosaur Dave Anderchuk(sp?) get to hoist the cup and be a kid once more. Not a bad move on the part of his wife there. Hope they use a lot of sun block for Stanley, He's not used to all that sun. Still, TB did earn the cup, and it was a pretty good game, especially in those last 10 minutes. Just sucks that the flames took that penalty late but St. Louis did get wacked pretty good, they had to call it.
