He's the sturdier one. What about Mr. 5'9" 155 lbs.? Must be quick little buggers.

The size of their CBs should factor not just in the passing game, but the running game as well. I would expect our big WRs to manhandle them when blocking, again, especially if Stanley plays.

Not that it really matters, but any idea why Ott didn't have any offers from the other Dakotas and UNI? The twitterers all seem to think he should go to the Gophers or at least a MAC team, and yet we're the only ones who show as having offered him? Seems weird.

On paper. Maybe EWU and UM have down years again (it happens). Maybe NAU (with Cookus healthy), Cal Poly (who can't be stopped with the undeniably greatest FB ever in Protheroe), and Weber are all solid next year and we don't play them. The UM fans anointing themselves the keepers of the BSC Championship, who you have to beat in order to claim it, isn't an idea we should be feeding, IMO. I don't like the unbalanced schedule. It sucks. It provides aid to certain teams and provides excuses for the others. But UM lost the right to complain in San Luis Obispo.

One issue with raising men's hockey ticket prices. Do any of those hockey season ticket holders drop their football or, more likely, basketball season tickets as a result?

Ah yes, Cal Poly run game was shut down against North Dakota solely because Protheroe was out. It had nothing to do with UND's defense. Protheroe is solely responsible for the effectiveness of the Cal Poly triple-option offense. Nobody can stop Cal Poly with Protheroe. North Dakota is the luckiest team in the country. Only other teams have injuries.

Agreed. Student fees are already high and should not be raised. Just asking is an insult to what they already give.

Things to look forward to in the coming years: 1. UND's revenue sports, sans hockey, will continue operating at a funding disadvantage when compared to peers. Locker rooms, player lounges, travel and recruiting budgets, etc. will remain poor. 2. MBB will continue to have poor coaching and will remain a revolving door for assistant coaches. 3. Non-revenue sports will remain doormats for whichever conference we are in. 4. The FB staff will eventually turn over and we won't pay for quality replacements. 5. We will continue seeing few non-conference home games in MBB and FB. The few we get will be of low quality. 6. Fan interest will wane and we'll face another revenue crisis.

So baseball is gone and men's golf is still on the chopping block in 2 years. Potential Title IX lawsuit? Or are only women's athletics protected there?

Pouring out their emotions may be what saved their programs. It certainly appears Kennedy is making an emotional decision, rather than one based on numbers. I'm holding out some hope he has something going on behind the scenes, but it's a very faint hope.

Weber doesn't play Montana or EWU, so we want them to win every game except against UND. If Cal Poly beats EWU and then loses to Weber, it would be great for strength of schedule appearance purposes, IMO.
