Fairness of transfer rules talk moved to
-
I moved a bunch of the gopher drama stuff to A couple of the posts that started it all contained some stuff relating to recruiting so I left them here. Please keep on the topic of recruiting when responding to those posts.

I was under the impression coaches can't reach out to gauge interest from potential transfers; the transfer has to contact the coaches. Wrong?
-
Final record plays a role for me, but assuming he's within a game or 2 of .500 (typical Jones year): Semifinal loss or worse = can him Title game loss or better = 1 year extension

Bouncing puck or just caught sleeping?
-
You're a little low for at least one of them from what I've heard (pretty reliable source), but not by much.
-
He didn't accuse you of being off topic. But in answer to your question: On topic. Exclamation point is over the top for a win over a UMass team that isn't Lowell, but to each their own. Not on topic.

Tolna ND seems to be primarily bizun territory, with a few Sioux fans sprinkled in.
-
I'm assuming he's the one twice the size of everyone else.

Hoops has me convinced. Anything better than a #10 finish in the BSC will be a miracle this year. #ExtendJones
-
Yep, but 10s for me.

We already have 2 "burner" commits who are slotted to be on offense, likely at WR. I guess I don't see the recent DB commits as burners necessarily either, at least from the film. Look like solid FCS types.

That was like an effortless slap to the face of the goalie, haha.

For actual big money TV deals, sure, the network will have some input on who to add and let leave a conference. The CBS deal with the NCHC is peanuts, in comparison. They would have little to no voice at the table because the threat of CBS leaving the NCHC isn't a very big stick (and nobody watches Miami and WMU games anyway).
-
Haha yep. All his highlights are at WR, so if he is indeed expected to play CB, it's pretty tough to evaluate anyway (other than the fact he appears athletic).

Welcome Kyle! Time for the OL now.
-
Absolutely. But these late game issues are becoming too common against us to not consider assigning any blame to our team.
-
Late game and post game ugly theatrics are becoming too common this year. At some point the UND team needs to look at itself and say "maybe it's me." Fights at end of ndsu game, Iowa refusing to shake hands, sdsu and usd refusing to schedule us. It may end up being more than our record pushing Jones out.

11-2 run puts the deficit back at 16.

UND needs a coach who is worth more than $100k per year.
-
Those numbers are a couple years old now. $185k isn't terribly low (like we were), but it's still on the lower end of FCS HC salaries. Nielson at USD is at $255k base and Klieman's base is up around $300k now. Obviously we aren't going to be spending ndsu level money at this point, and I think USD is overpaying for Nielson, but Bubba deserves to be in the $200-220 range. Perhaps he again diverted some funding to his assistant coaches' pool. Anyone have an idea what other schools are paying their coordinators/assistants?
-
Bubba's base is still on the low end at $185,000. He was at $165,000 prior to new contract. I'm not too worried about him going anywhere, but hopefully the pay for our assistant coaches is much more regionally competitive.
