  1. Assuming he'll move to the USHL. This should be his last year of eligibility for the U-18 squad.
  2. She sounded like a nice lady.
  3. Bsc regular season champs!
  4. Refs now doing what they can to make it a tight game.
  5. 52-35 UND at halftime. Sack St very small compared to UND. They're trying to play a trap game with the full court press, but they're too short to disrupt the UND passes. Most UND points are weakly contested layups.
  6. Haha she didn't seem too interested in kneeling/bending down to help the injured Sack St player, did she
  7. Ladies are playing tonight at Sac state to clinch at least a share of bsc title. Up 24-16 after 1 quarter.
  8. I remember liking the pizza and the chips w/ queso.
  9. UND goalie pipeline pretty well loaded now. Tomek training under Goehring for the past couple years with Thome and Scheel lying in wait.
  10. http://www.inforum.com/business/4227287-bostons-restaurant-sports-bar-open-first-north-dakota-location-west-fargo Boston's restaurant to open in West Fargo. Wasn't there a Boston's in Grand Forks 10 or so years ago? Next to Texas Roadhouse.
  11. Are you saying those numbers are wrong?
  12. Haha, I still can't believe the Sioux people shop at grocery stores like everybody else either.
  13. I prefer "Our UND." Appears Gardner is double majoring in Sociology (safe) and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (not so safe). Sorry one of the majors you've chosen is worthless in the real world and therefore not a priority for state funding.
  14. Per the SFI write-up, freshman safety Tim Ryan appears to have left the team. Not really a position we can afford to lose many players at, but apparently UND/D1 football weren't for him.

  16. Yeah, I do know where the Legacy Fund money is. It's in stocks, bonds, CDs, land, and other investments. Since its creation, it's made around $300 million in interest and investment gains and is approaching a $4 billion balance. Prof. Iseminger is sad UND is going to start prioritizing funding because he realized he and his discipline aren't a priority of the state. The schools are paid on a formula. NDSU is being cut. They just don't have the chicken littles running around screaming about it and the Fargo media is happy to push whatever story Deano puts out about how great he and his school are.
  17. By expenses he incurred, I'm guessing you're referring to the new logo at a cost of $50,000 (not even a rounding error on UND's financial statements). Putting out the logo dumpster fire before a new president was hired was one of his primarily duties.
  18. 38% in the last 10 years in North Dakota really isn't much. And UND's percentage increase would be less than the system average. Higher Ed certainly needed a kick to encourage reorganization and prioritization, but they're going to have to do more than that to meet the current expected cuts. Also, the $650 million you reference was the Dalrumple number. The Senate took it down closer to $615 million (a 30% increase from 2007-09). Now, is the world ending? No, like you said, there's plenty of fat to cut. But the cuts are going to go a bit deeper than just the fat and most everybody will feel some pain from it.
  19. And that's the highest rate. Vast majority are paying between 1.1% and 2.04%. Income tax rates have been cut nearly in half since the start of the oil boom. In 2007, comparable rates for the vast majority were between 2.1% and 3.92%, with a max of 5.54%.
  20. Based purely on stats this year, Kawaguchi should be good. Jones and Adams should be solid. Rest will need to have a big offseason.
