  1. Whoopsie daiseys. Scanned over the president page too quickly. Thought about being a history major. I want to make money. Money is not in history. I am also sure that not all history professors know the political party of every individual president....though the Native Americans at UND might not be all for being named after a Roosevelt's Unit when he said, "I don't go so far as to think that the only good Indians are dead Indians, but I believe nine out of ten are, and I shouldn't like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth." - Teddy.
  2. 30 touchdowns seems awfully high when I hear some on here talk about the stable of running backs at UND like they are very good. If they are good, and you throw 30 touchdowns...that probably means your defense is awful and you need to come from behind pretty often. I hear a lot of positive thinking about the UND defense though. so with the 30 touchdown type of thinking, you must not be expecting more than probably 15-20 rushing TD's total for the season. starting to think you might be one of those guys who edits most your players to 99 overal on madden because you think that they are THAT good.
  3. I work on a computer all day. It is not an exciting job. I get paid to bother you guys, go on AGS, and bisonville.
  4. Using history from 10-20 years ago when one program was slumping and one was enjoying large success is a bit skewed. UND also was able to get people to show up back then, and now NDSU has turned the dome into something special
  5. UND would have to be ranked #5. If UND was #6, that game would be in the Dome.
  6. Yep. More than likely, but it is starting to look more and more like the only way they play is in the playoffs. Which means that UND won't be playing in the Alerus against the Herd too often. And with more and more season ticket holders in Fargo, it will not be the same Fargodome that UND used to do very well in.
  7. Sell buddy. If NDSU is 3-2 and UND is 4-1, ndsu would probably stilll be ranked higher.
  8. they lost very very few players and we lost some key ones.
  9. Hmm..wouldn't think UND wants to be associated with something so closely with agriculture....cause cows go moo. Some on here like harassing NDSU for being an Ag School...you know, Moo U? Yet you want to be named after that? Hmm...indeed. Teddy was a democrat. Grand Forks is pretty liberal. Maybe the idea works.
  10. no excuse to pay a D-I women's hockey coach more than a D-I football coach.
  11. I could be wrong but I believe wrestling would be significantly cheaper than women's hockey. From what I saw, wrestling is allowed 9.9 scholarships. women's hockey is allowed 18.
  12. touche. FIFY Haven't heard his name around here in awhile.
  13. Ok. I dont need a guy. But for the sake of discussion I will make some up. Joe Schmoe 6' 1" 200 lbs. playing for Jamestown College. 72% percent completion. 2700 yards. 30 touchdowns. 8 interceptions.
  14. NAIA qb throws for 4500 yards and 40 touchdowns. Is he better than Freund or Walker? Probably not.
  15. Of course players are bigger and faster now than they have been before. If the Steelers of today played against the Steel Curtain teams, the Steelers of today would probably beat them by 20-30 points. That doesn't mean that they are better than the Steel Curtain was. Notre Dame today, would probably beat the Notre Dame teams that were good once upon a time. You think that teams like Duluth with 30 scholarships or whatever D-II allows now, would be as good as if they were allowed 60 or whatever the scholarship allotment was? Regardless, that is off topic. I said that Walker is better than Freund and based on the information available, it would be hard to say I am wrong.
  16. I would never tell someone that championships don't matter. That said, D-II in the 80's vs. D-II in the 2000's isn't even a competition as to which one had better quality. Look at the scholarship numbers, that is proof enough. That is beside the point. If a D-I guy and a D-II guy have similar numbers, people are going to more than likely go with the D-I guy.
  17. Ok, playing against who again? Winona? Walker did it against Division 1 teams. Freund did it against D-II teams. Walker may be on his way out as Jensen has done some beautiful things.
  18. Northern Iowa didn't even make the playoffs that year. So yes, against harder competition. 2 wins against FBS competition as a senior on the road. Threw for only 52 yards less with 54 fewer attempts. Threw more interceptions though unfortunately.
  19. Of course, but you still need to get the ball enough to be noticed.
  20. The only bad part about moving onto the Griz is that they probably look at MSU and EWU as their rivals.
  21. Is it a bad rodent name when it is the state animal of North Dakota? Always good to have a name that has some significance to your state. We live in the Flickertail State. Roughriders are not from North Dakota. Closest area in Oklahoma. Might be a good idea to take a peek into the history of the Rough Riders. Wikipedia Link.
  22. Threw it enough to get Stacy Robinson drafted in the 2nd round A QB is a QB. They move the ball down the field.
  23. Not entirely sure passing was required back when NDSU was putting up 40-50 points a game and walking through everyone on the way to National Championships. haha I assume you are kidding. Steve Walker played against better competition and lit those teams up in a run-first offense. Now I am positive you guys are kidding.
  24. Hmm...NDSU has had a few good ones come through in the past. Ever heard of Bentrim? Simdorn? Couple of harlon hill winners there. Beachy? Steve Walker> anyone to play QB at UND thus far.
  25. I have no idea if NDSU will have the QB play to compete with the school up North... Oh wait. I forget the official NDSU offensive motto. "In Brock We Trust."
