Also, UNC does not have a very good pass defense and Weber did have the top pass defense in the Big Sky. I have faith that Bartles can get the job done in one game against an average defense.
-
You beat me to it!
-
If we play solid defense I believe we can grind down the UNC defense on Saturday without Studsrud. All Bartles needs to do is hit some timely passes. He did have a beautiful ball dropped last Saturday. Also, limit turnovers.

We need to win this Saturday before we get too deep into speculation! We got left out with 7 wins last year and I wouldn't put it past the committee this year.

Regionalization sucks.

That's an interesting article, thanks for posting!

To those coming to the game my group will be tailgating hard and looking to be set up and rolling by 9 AM MTN. Since I just got back from hunting back home in North Dakota I think it is fitting to have wild game (Pheasant, Duck, and venison burgers). I plan to make extra so please stop by. Plan is to have my large green Fighting Sioux flag flying from my blue 4runner in some fashion. I believe Southpaw will be bringing cornhole and washer sets so the gaming will be on point. I also brought back some premium grain belt since I cant get that out here.

Great analysis!

Yes he had a great game! Hopefully Greely can continue this play in Greeley.
-
Speaking of injuries, anyone know the status of Stanley? His injury didn't seem to be too bad and the passing game has really taken a step back in his absence.
-
If he does start the only runs I want to see are scrambles. No called runs please.
-
Is Studsrud ruled out? He was throwing the ball well after the injury and sounded like he wanted to go back in but Bubba did the right thing and held him out as a precaution.
-
Yeah I am glad UND is on the road this weekend for deer opener. Attendance that weekend is bad every year.
-
Not that I know of but I did see some big dudes walking around the Alerus with their field passes on.
-
Than's what I am afraid of! I plan on watching him closely in warmups this Saturday.
-
Regarding taubs kicking I noticed he was kicking touchbacks at Idaho state ( elevation 4,462) so there is a chance he boots the ball 10-15 yards farther per kick in Greeley (4,659) than he was on Saturday. This is assuming the wind isn't nasty.

Now tied at 49, both teams forgot their defense on the bus.

The defense is definitely fun to watch and really is a thing of beauty when they are on. I hope the offense gets a couple kinks worked out this week and am crossing my fingers for Studsrud. he was throwing the ball before he went into the locker room and put the sling on so I am trying to be an optimist on this one. I think my new favorite spot to watch the game is the top row of section 105 on the 50 yard line. I was standing most of the game and it was nice to have nobody behind me yelling to sit down. You can also look up at the monitors in the suites / pressbox and watch the replays when a play is being reviewed. Looking forward to tailgating and taking in the game in Greeley. I am now feeling a bit nervous about this one.

I am jacked to get back to the Alerus! Hoping to see the Hawks dominate!
-
Yeah when I get back to Colorado on Sunday I will make a call to m Ft. Collins friends to see what they know. We will come up with something.

Naaa those don't make you mad
-
Ahh I remember you. You seem to pop on here around the time we play. Big words coming from your parents basement. I am up in Nodak now hunting waterfowl and pheasants. Colorado has !@#$ for bird and the eastern plains are far more desolate than North Dakota. You are the type of Coloradan everyone hates. Also- I take my Big Mac without pickles.

I think my group of three is buying walk up tickets...unless all of a sudden there is high demand this week. Likely just stand on the catwalk.

Thanks! We had a pretty good morning at the duck blind on Dry Lake (North of DL)
