Everyone stay tuned because there will likely be more articles this week. The cost savings of the MVFC/Summit League vs Big Sky isn't as much as you think it would be. Also, some of the geniuses on AGS do not seem to understand that our budget shortfall was due to having our budget set in stone, then the state issuing a revised budget that was much lower than UND was basing theirs off of.

Ha yeah the thread on AGS is hilarious. One guy saying something about "leaving UND on an island to die" I am not sure if that person is following closely but we seem to be doing pretty well on that island right now!

If we play at home over Thanksgiving I will hop on the Denver to Devils Lake flight Wednesday night, have thanksgiving with the family, hunt pheasants Friday, then head to GF Saturday morning. Thanksgiving is on Thursday so unless you are traveling really far I don't understand the low attendance. Students probably gone so that must factor in.

Agreed, everyone else around me seemed to like the look as well.

In regard to Stockwell, he was in a lot of pain Saturday (I believe shoulder). He was in a sling and when the team was giving us high 5's after the game he could not lift that arm. It would be great to get the other guys back but I highly doubt he will play this week. I hope I am wrong!

I think a fair amount would still go because football in Texas in January is ideal. I also think a fair number would sell them on sites like Hubspot. I would make the trip in a heartbeat.

Sort of funny because you really couldn't write a better script. I am not saying it will happen but holy nuggets would that be movie quality.

Yes is was sort of funny because we rolled into the parking lot a few minutes before you and were the only ones. Buddy said "If we rolled into the Alerus parking lot at the same time there is no way we would be the first ones." Turned into a great tailgate crowd!

It would only apply to the auto bid for the conference. We would still be fully eligible for seeds and at large playoff births. I am a fan of the Big Sky, but am selfish because it is nice to see them play UNC in Colorado every two years. We had a heck of a tailgate set up on Saturday and I would love to keep doing it!

I do know we have a couple key OL really beat up right now and three weeks off starting yesterday will be huge for them. Stockwell and Dan Bell didn't play in the second half against UNC. These guys need some rest and fortunately this bye (it's bye not buy) week to end the regular season is turning into a blessing in disguise.

I also have a feeling a couple guys will sit out this week against NAU to heal up, effectively giving them three weeks off until playoffs. I don't think a top 8 seed would be ideal...I also dont think we get one even if we beat NAU. But, a top 8 seed guarantees us a home playoff game.

I am pretty sure Stockwell was in a sling after the game. Couldn't raise his arm to give high fives. Hopefully he makes it back for playoffs in three weeks.

Safe to say we left no doubt tailgating! Gritty win and great fans made for an awesome day.

I disagree because 8 wins gets us in. I would love to hear the reasoning from the committee on why an 8 D1 win Big Sky team is left behind. I am with ya though, would be nice to just win out.

The tools seem to come out of the shed when we play UNC.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. Jacksonville state #1 from the mighty OVC? This is a team that is good until they face real teams in the playoffs.

The weber state / sac state game earlier this season was non conference.

I am holding out hope that the kickoffs are better at 4,800 feet. Taubs was kicking touchbacks at ISU which is a couple hundred feet lower in elevation. I will watch him in warm ups to see how he long he is kicking.

Taj Rich and Luke Stanley were both listed as questionable for the game against Weber. Anyone have any info on their recovery progress?

What about CFL if the NFL doesn't pan out?

Also, UNC does not have a very good pass defense and Weber did have the top pass defense in the Big Sky. I have faith that Bartles can get the job done in one game against an average defense.
