  1. You speak the language of a wise man...
  2. I didn't mention that we were there Saturday night too, but this time, just for the beer (they have an awesome selection of good beer on tap and in the bottle). We had no problem mingling with "our people" before the game....In fact, it's always great to have a large crowd of sioux fans together before and after the game... I think if they stop allowing free parking if you eat or drink, that will help the turnover a little bit....forced turnover is not that bad of an idea...just enforcing a courtesy...we didn't even think about sitting down on saturday since we weren't planning on eating...just stood around with a beer or two...
  3. We ate there friday night...we waited about 35 minutes for a table (good excuse to stand around and drink beer) We were seated at about 6:45. It took about about 20 minutes for our food. Food was very good. We just made it for the national anthem and drop of the puck. The biggest problem I see is that people get there early, get a table, eat and then linger until game time. I saw several tables of coffee drinkers - just killing time and not allowing someone else the table. They are going to have to figure out how to turn the tables or it will get down to a single turn before the games and at least an hour wait for a table Fridays and Saturdays for game weekends if, of course, you're willing to miss part of the first period...It's a big problem because you can't boot people out. I'm not in the business, so I don't know how they encourage people to leave...
  4. I kinda wish you were sitting next to me...that way there'd be two of us cheering in the section... But that's not fair, the guy that sits next to me (Lammy's dad) is generally a very astute hockey fan and obviously knows alot about the game - a coach maybe??
  5. I guess I'm pretty surprised that you think that I seriously believed that I am sitting next to Lammy's dad...I guess I need to be more careful about my comments here since some people take everything literally and there is no room for any humor...I certainly did not intend to pick on Lammy's actual family and I'm sorry you took it that way. I think my post had substance and made a point, albeit probably not one that everyone will agree with...Lammy didn't have a very good game. Canady's penalty was very stupid and indefensible - he could have injured the DU goalie. To sit there and sanctimoniously state that "Canady didn't even touch the guy" and that "the DU goalie should get an academy award for acting" was outrageous and I told him as much, contrary to what your post implies...
  6. So I recommend that they stick to their jobs as players and play until the whistle blows...That's coaching by the way...
  7. I'm not going to get into a long discussion about that goal, but if you had a better angle on it than I did, you were in the goal...there was nobody in front of him...I was lined up exactly with the shooter and watched the puck go directly into the net, high glove side. Lammy simply missed the "catch"... I do agree they are having some tough luck, but they aren't really good at "making" their luck either. They missed a golden opportunity to pickup valuable and much needed points last night. They could have won that game.
  8. You're kidding right? DU scores on its second shot of the night, high glove side. Lammy had a full on look at it but swiped at it and missed. It was a good shot, but he should have made that stop. He was not screened. DU hits the post on the third shot (and by the grace of God, it wasn't 2-0). Third goal, Lammy was hung out to dry, but again, had a full on look and should have made the stop. On the fourth goal, the puck trickled in after going under the blade of his stick. Not his best effort is the understatement of the season. As an aside, I think I must be sitting next to Lammy's dad (he's in 116, F, Seat 10). To this guy, Lammy can do no wrong. Earlier in the year, I thought he was going to have a fit when I said I thought JPar should be playing. When Canady ran the DU goalie, I commented the he shouldn't have taken that cheap shot and this guy told me that Canady hardly touched him, when it was freaking obvious that Canady had intended to take the guy"s head off...really stupid. Anyway, I didn't say anything bad about Lammy because, as I've said, the guy is hyper-sensitive about him and might start hyperventilating if I do...I do think Lammy played terribly and needs a long rest....
  9. This is one of the lead stories on the NHL.com webpage this morning. Thought you all might be interested... USHL at the Ralph
  10. Except for the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers, the Wolves and the Bucks...otherwise, there simply is no competition for the Gophers or the Badgers...
  11. I don't know if the posts are for real, but there is a Cando, ND...between Starkweather and Wolford on Hwy 17 in north east-central ND... I know this because I have been passing thru the town for years on my way to duck hunt and to grouse hunt...best Dairy Queen in ND...also, used to be alot of Certified Seed Potatoes grown there...still are, but they used to be just about exclusive...So now you know...
  12. Was McMahan settling a score from last night??? What exactly happened to cause McMahan to do the deed... Hopefully we'll Murray back soon. Looks like we're going to need his offense next weekend for sure...
  13. Ok...well, these guys played their hearts out but did not getting the bounces. The win tonight as a result of hard work and effort. They need to score goals...I think they need to relax and enjoy the game, but that doesn't mean when they do, they can perform like they did the first two periods last night... Anyway, good job Sioux...time to git'er done...
  14. Sioux pp...time to put this one away...
  15. Beavers are coming on strong early in the third...

  17. Sioux 2, BSU 1 after two...good effort and sioux seem to have control of the game, but need to give themselves some wiggle room here.

  23. Starting to see some heart and some effort....Hak can't do any yelling now (he missed his opportunity)...he needs to find another opportunity and blister these guys if they let off at all from here on out...really...turn over tables and throw a huge fit...
