What is the status of Genoway? I saw the Schneider "elbow". It wasn't a sharp elbowing motion. He was attempting to block Lacari's inside track to the puck and he just flipped Lacari on his back with his arm/elbow. Only a few seconds later, Lacari skated up to him from behind and committed the "spear" if that's what you want to call it... The both should have gotten penalties. What amazed me is that Schneider did not retaliate later for the spear...

The only thing I will say about Smaby is that he NEEDS to keep his elbows down...he is very tall and yesterday he smacked a guy very high right in front of the ref at a time when a penalty would have been a disaster...when he skated back to the box, Eades walked up to him and made the universal sign "Watch your elbows"...

The Sioux won the 2nd period because, for the most part, they got to the puck first. Parise saved the game for the Sioux tonight, I must admit...Hopefully, they will carry this into Sunday and win...I know I said this last week too. Let's hope it comes true this time...

And by the way, you may want to read some of my posts before suggesting that all I do is bad mouth individual players - that is simply not true. It's pretty clear the individual player you are referring to is Lammy, since he's the only one I've ever said anything negative about individually on this thread... It seems like you and Lammy have a real special relationship and I've noticed that nobody on this board can be critical of his play without you showing to jump on the poster with your snide remarks... FYI, TH said that Lammy would have loved to have that third one back...pretty soft... but heaven forbid someone on this board might point that out...Oh if they do, they're not a true sioux fan...no that guy better get out the Wisconsin jersey...

You make it sound like we're going off over one game...it hasn't been one game, it's been many games...the same underperforming team over and over...inexplicably giving up goals mere seconds after scoring...losing to perennial bottow dwellers...giving up late goals when the chips are down...and all that time, the coach just standing in the box, checking his watch, wondering if TiVo has caught SNL...

Go ahead and defend the indefensible...Hak can't do it...it's one thing to lose when you inherit a poor team that needs rebuilding...it's quite another to lose with this one...

Screw the road split. If this team doesn't have the heart it takes to play with the seawolves and take home 4 points going into WI next week, where does that leave them... Next weekend should be real fun - if you wear red and white...

Time to write the Sioux off for this year. I'll just enjoy Columbus for the experience...
