This game was a let down. My question is when are we going to stop reverting over the summer? Bad first game last year, bad first game this year. I would think we should have been able to build on last year and be better out first game this year.. Maybe I'm wrong?

This tournament isn't on TV in ND anywhere? Anyone please help?

The 14U team in Bismarck, with 19 players on it, is comprised of only 8th and 9th graders. Anyone else younger is on a 12U team. I believe the problem in Bismarck from what I've heard is that the growth there has mostly been north, making one team have a much larger number base than the other (South). They didn't want to entertain drafting teams each year and wanted to keep it boundary driven. That causes a problem when you may have 26 girls up north and only 8 or 9 down south. They deemed that NOT SUSTAINABLE because you can't field a team with 8 girls. Total overall numbers, it sounds like they have enough. If they were interested in 2 teams they would've been creative and tried to make co-op teams or something. I honestly believe that the only way Bismarck will have 2 teams is if we in other communities force it somehow.

I believe in order for the Sioux to win tonight with all the scoring that will be in stands is going to lie with Chyz and LJ. They both need to start burying the puck, they are both too good. Would also love to see Gersich get going as well.

It will be interesting to see how St. Clair does with so much time off. Hope he is game ready!! Go Sioux!

Blais is going to have his guys ready to go for sure. To me it seems that UNO always play UND tough, maybe they treat it a little special because it's UND?? Anyway I can't wait. As for the other thread, we need to wake up here and focus on our team that is playing in a huge series this weekend.

Huge series, hope the chemistry on the CBS line is still there after a break like we've seen. I would love to see LJ get going and Chyz to start scoring.

The survey on this site has been always leaning towards Roughriders. Nodaks did make a push here on the last one though.

I feel the same way about Stenehjem, he was the one that negotiated that we needed to get both tribes approval. This is the only case where a school needed to get more than the closest tribes blessings. The rest were able to keep their names by just going to the closest tribe and getting their approval and they were done and off the sanctions list.

I agree, this TV deal doesn't feel like what the NCHC, the premier conference in the nation, should have. But I want to switch gears a little and ask what you all think will Sanderson's role be on this year's team? Does he sit in the stands most games like the rest of his career or does he step up like a senior and provide some leadership? Also if he does step up who does he beat out?

While I am not opposed to going with no nickname, I believe that Kelly will try to push for one. That being said there are a couple, and only a couple, of nicknames on the remaining list that are tolerable. Those name being: roughriders, cavalry, north stars. My question is has there been enough time for people to not associate North Stars with Minnesota? I don't want to be known as the school that thinks they are in Minnesota or wishes they were in Minnesota.

Well what a shocking day, congrats to Hak and congrats to Brad. Now he needs to fill an assistant position. I realize he was the D coach and now moving up you would think that would mean to hire a D coach to replace him. I, however, would like to see the hiring of an offensive coach, Dane to me seems more of a player development coach as in developing a players game one on one, working on their shot, release, one-timers, etc. I would love nothing more than to see an offensive systems guy who can work on entry zone and plays off of the cycle, nice cross ice one timer plays that open up the ice and allow our skill guys the opportunity to make those plays and to finish them. That is what I would like to see, not that that is what Berry is going to do of course... Thoughts?
