6 to 6 basically at half.. We suck.. I went to UND and I'm sure I feel the same as many alumni out there.. Most of which now support NDSU because it's good for the state to beat ISU. Tying Robert Morris at half . Oh sorry we just scored a field goal... I'm sorry I love UND but this team is not good.. We will not get respect in this state unless we start doing something note worthy.. All these people that are pissed off because there are people that only support UND hockey, I say too F'n bad, they have beat best they compete with the best every game... What has out football team done?? When was the last time we even played a Minnesota or a Wisconsin? We haven't...again I ask what has our football team done?? Nothing, beating bob Morris 9-6 at half... Oh yay.. Sorry if I'm a negative nancy, but the truth hurts.. We will not compete with NDSU.. This is coming from a UND grad and I bleed green.. Bash me all you want but I'm not going to blow smoke.. UND is a hockey school and I hope that never changes... Because if it does we won't compete there either...

We just aren't very good. It's just painfully evident.

I can agree with the Sioux uniform not being able to wear that will only hurt us. But what about not being able to host post season games in Grand Forks. Initially we all thought that we could still host just couldn't wear anything Sioux related. But then the NCAA just sent out a letter saying that if we had the opportunity to host (i.e. the women's hockey team this year) that we would lose that and it would be at our opponents arena. That I do have a problem with, I want our squads to be able to have the edge, the home ice/court/field advantage. If we continue down this path of sanctions we will not be the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux that we all love we will be a shell of what we used to be because we will lose that advantage. We will start to lose recruits, we will start to lose money, the AD will start cutting programs and thus the shell that I was referring to.

Can you at least answer the question? How can you go against what coach Hakstol says? Don't you think he has a little more inside knowledge to how this will affect the whole athletic department? He also wants to keep playing Minnesota our biggest rival.. Please answer the question...

Fetch and DaveK, Can you tell me that our hockey coach is wrong with what he said about the nickname and logo then? I wouldn't want to the be ones standing there saying vote "Yes" when our own coach and president of the alumni association is saying it is time. Can you please explain how, when these individuals come out and say it's time, you can still say keep the name?

Very sad day indeed. I just hope that the UND leadership doesn't try and force feed us some PC nickname CRAP like the blizzard or spirit. No nickname for awhile and then re-assess and give the power to the students and alumni.

I know it's not a fantastic TV schedule but it does create exposure and it gets people talking. I'm in Bismarck and I would like to get the state exposure that NDSU is getting as well. I don't care what you say for the non-alum/social observer if there is a UND game on FCS and an NDSU game on NBC there will be more attention and more viewership on the NBC channel, regardless of who is playing.. Just the way it is. I would like to see UND keep their TV schedule but also have the local TV support that NDSU is getting (statewide).

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the reasoning behind NDSU getting 3 games broadcast on NBC across the state? Yes I understand they are a better team right now and they made the playoffs last year, but 3 games for NDSU across the state and 0 for UND??? Yes I also understand that we are still in transition and have a horrible schedule this year but this had better change... It is absolutely embarrassing.

Yeah that's what I thought as well but with him having to sit out a year with the transfer...
