Hopefully if there is another airline the city will not give them 500K in free money out of the taxpayers pockets.

Look at the author and his website that he works for and who funds them and then stop and think if he was being objective. -
Here is a website I found where the discussion is about pay in the CHL. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=515514

I called Spokane, Seattle, and Portland and they all cracked up laughing when I asked them if the players made 15K a year. They said the get a small stipend and if they made that much they would not be living with host families. I don't know where the 15K figure came from but it seems that it is wrong. That is unless all these teams were lying but the laughter did not make me think that. Maybe the 15K figure was for the Central Hockey League.

Has the price of flights to GF gone up ?

Define bargains. Being that it is cheaper today, as I noted in my previous post, than 20-30 years ago. -

It is still cheaper to fly to GFK today than it was 20-30 years ago. -
Better for him to not come at all than to leave at Christmas.

Thank you.

I am sorry if I am bringing something up that has already been discussed but I really do not want to go through 27 pages to find out. I have been on vacation through all of this. My question is how good would it be for the new conference do play an interlocking schedule with the Big Ten with the games counting in each league? Wouldn't this be good for the college hockey game? Like one home series every other year between each team. I would like to see UND play Michigan, UW, UM and Michigan St.

Pretty much yes like they have across the entire country. -
This qoute should also include the fact that only 11% of the people that could vote did. Maybe the other 89% thought. "Why are we getting dragged into their fight?"
-
Actually they could easily ban it. Just like a restaurant that will not serve you unless you have a sports jacket or suit jacket on.
-
Remember though that the students that have gear now will be gone in a few years and the new ones will not be able to buy new stuff so it will go away on its own then.

Was the law voted on as being retroactive?
-
Do you have a law degree?
-
What happens when the NCAA tells the court that the law was inacted to try and renege on a legal settlement? I would guess the settlement to the suit, which was filed by the ones now trying to renege on the argeement, will not fly with the courts.

Is this suppose to make the supporters look like the great Sioux warrior hey want to pretend to be? What about the other group that does not want to partake in the suicide mission? What is it too bad for you I will take you down with my stand?

All of this chatter reminds me of the little Yorkie nipping at the cajones of the big bad pitbull. One day the pit bull will have enough and that is the end of the little Yorkie as we know it. The NCAA does not need UND. UND needs the NCAA.

Try telling that to college kids. They think they have it so hard and when the real world comes calling they call mom and dad.

I would rather see this: The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported last week that Amazon is considering building three more distribution centers in Nashville or Knoxville. The retailer would invest $180 million and hire about 1,700 full-time and 2,000 part-time or seasonal workers within two years if it goes ahead with the plan, according to the filing. That would more than double the company's $139 million footprint in Tennessee at Hamilton and Bradley county distribution centers. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2011/may/18/haslam-sticks-to-amazon-deal/

I thought that was what this board was for? -
I read the comment as a joke about the Alerus Center being empty so much of the time that use as a storage building would be good revenue. I thought that it was more of a funny shot at Grand Forks than a shot at Fargo. For flooding with all the flooding along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers that will also need money Fargo should be very concerned.
