    So Duluth has the same tradition and history as UND, building a new building doesn't give you that. North Dakota has lots of advantages other programs wish they had.

    Maybe Sandelin would have had a better record with the talent that has gone through the program, seems to have done an ok job with what he has had. Hakstol seems to be stuck in the way he does things and can't adjust.

    If you look at Hakstol's coaching record that would be par for the course, had success early in the USHL then went the other way.

    Faceoffs are as much to do with effort and desire then talent. You have to want to impose you will on the other team, this team wants to be imposed on. That and Patyn spending the whole game proving how tough he is, not a good trait in a captain.

    Maybe not firing Hak but maybe showing Berry the door wouldn't be a bad thing. He was brought in as a defensive specialist and the D has been awful the last two years, what are we like 45 out of 59 in defensive scoring. Maybe the disparity in shots is a defensive problem also( too much time running around in you own zone). Ps mr. Schmaltz act like you want to be a D man, at least three times last night he is coasting back or not covering his man on goals scored.

    I would never boo my team, but the section I was in had plenty of boo birds out.

    Definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Hakstol can't or won't change his dump and chase, how many times in the offense zone all three forwards against one wall or behind the net and guess what happens? The puck comes loose and st. Lawrence takes it the other way.

    Hakstol doesn't seem to have a handle on this team, thought they maybe turned the corner last sat. But that was the exception and the Norm was tonight. Low shot totals, uninspired play , Schmaltz looked as disinterested as I have seen a Sioux player.

    Been a long time since people are streaming for the exits with five to six minutes left. If one or two players are playing bad, it's the players when it's the whole team it's the systems or the coaching.the very worst power play I have seen from North Dakota thirty plus years.

    We are fine, we always make a second half run. The first half is for practice.

    It's nice we play dump and try to get the puck back.never seen a Sioux team that all the have is long stretch passes and hard off the glass or boards.

    going back to when Hakstol was hired we were told we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between teams, that was bull. I am not calling for Blais return but the return of letting the forwards get after it and skate not put the puck on the wall and cycle cycle cycle or get all three forwards below the red line and easy out for the opposing team.this team has no composure with the puck doesnt take the easy pass but hard off the wall or glass and they all do it so it must be coached.

    Maybe Hakstol doesn't know any other way to coach, cycle cycle cycle even if your smaller. Put all three of your forwards below the goal line and see what happens. Hakstol is a one trick pony and that is why he is so easy to beat in the big games, he will not adjust.

    I agree roll three if you have to. Two scoring lines and one checking line( pattyn Rodwell Gaarder) spreading your talent out just makes the lines worse.

    Good thing he spread the offense around, another stellar coaching effort. Did Hak just put names in a hat and make the lineup no rhyme or reason to his coaching. Maybe passing should be a skill they work on in squirt camp this week.

    Hard off the wall or glass chase it down , don't even look for the easy break out pass or try the long home pass into traffic

    So Hakstols plan is to fall behind early then spend the second half catching up in the pair wise and run out of gas before the end, seems like I have seen this before.

    Hakstol has them playing great hockey right now. Maybe they can get a two for one buyout with muss. Very difficult game to sit through, is the power play a peewee or squirt plan.

    Look on the back of your ticket stub from hockey, football etc. GF Subaru Kia does a great job servicing vehicles and great to deal with on the sales side( daughter just purchased a Kia from them)
