Ok boys a little adversity let's see what this team is made of. If anyone would have predicted this record at the beginning of the year we would have all been giddy.

Maybe johnson(Cam) was a little too comfortable, three goals from far out over the glove, stand up man.

Upperclassmen or not he should sit out at least move him to thr fourth line. Wolarin would be a better choice at this point.

Wow I wonder what some of these people do for a living and do their bosses hold them to such high standards, you sell the most cars this year or your done. Seems like unreasonable expectations to me. Hakstol is a awesome recruiter, great regular season coach and a stalwart for fighting Sioux tradition. Like a previous poster said he changed from big physical D man to puck moving offensive D men so he shows he can change. Maybe the next step is to change his offensive strategy and go to a more creative system which might lead to some losses in the regular season might more productive in the one and done format. I have had regular season tickets since 1984 and will keep them till I can't go to games anymore so I have seen good and bad from the Sioux, my wife hates it when the Sioux lose because my attitude sucks and she doesn't quite understand the investment fans make in their teams, emotionally or otherwise. The sun comes up the next day regardless but players like Pattyn spent four season plus off seasons grinding it out through practices, injuries etc and for them to fall short is way worse then us fans having to take another semifinal loss. Hak is still young shows he is willing to change and I will be sitting in my seats come October hoping to see my team win the last game of the year and if they don't I will be back again supporting my team.

I just figured it out. The last team to wear the Fighting Sioux logo will graduate and the curse will be over, We will win this next year bank on it!!! Is it Oct. yet.

In retrospect maybe firing Hakstol may not be the best thing but 8 frozen fours and one win, how can one team have such terrible luck? Zane doesn't give up three bad goals in five games and comes in and gives up three in one game. At least two pipes if one of those goes in early whole different game. I think and it's been hashed out in other threads that Hak is stubborn and won't change his systems but he did change his defense from physical, large D to mobil playmakers, time to chane the offense. Give the fowards some freedom to create don't just dump it in, cycle the puck and dump it out of our zone and give up possession(how many times has you seen a foward blindly through the puck off the boards/glass from their own zone gining up possession) come Hak time to change it up.

Maybe Hakstol has to do some soul searching on how he does things, maybe free up the forwards and pull back on the D some, trying doing something other then cycle the puck and grind it out on the walls, use the talent you recruit don't just use the system no matter what. I would love to see Hak win one but honestly with all the teams he has had I don't think it's going to happen. He hashad high end fowards, grinders, hard workers, awesome goalies but the results are all the same.

Time to move on Hakstol, has lost in almost every way in the biggest game of the year. Players change every year but what is the common demoninator, hmmmmm They even changed one coach same results. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Time to try something or somebody different.

The stanchions on the glass were awful, someone should invest in seamless glass, St. Clouds second goal was a direct result of a bad bounce off one. The Sioux player was trying to dump it in and it took a target center bounce and it goes the other way for a two on one goal. Overall experience wasn't very good downtown St. Paul /xcel is in a class by itself. Target center had poor concessions, poor entrance policies on Friday anyway and downright lousy atmosphe

Murphy at least was giving a effort, which is better then some highly touted players we have. When will our coaching staff figure out that the dump snd chase especially on the PP just gives up possession. Come Hak time to change things up.

Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind, outplayed, out hustled and out shot two games in arow, where are the A players taking the weekend off? Which is worse a piss poor team all season or a great regular season then mailing it in for the playoffs.

I would take a whole blue line of Stechers that leave it all on the ice vs a first rounder that only gives it when he wants too. Maybe they was a reason he was cut from the world jr team, not lack of talent but how he applies it

Knee jerk? How have Parks and Cagguila done lately? Maybe they have no talent and McMillan was the only reason they even had any stats. Maybe the Sioux only had 20 shots on net because of 16 missing. When Cagguila was with Johnson and Chzyk that line performed why break it up? If it's not working then try something different, that's goes for during then game. With all the time outs we could roll three lines. But as a lifelong fan I probably have no right to say this team should be better then what they were yesterday.

1980 NCAA champion lost Taylor before the final game( before Hobey baker that he would have won) and that team didn't miss a beat. Other then a goalie all these pieces are or should be interchangable. Hak needs to find the right combos and if he has any passengers then make them sit and let people play who will give it all, cough cough # 24.
